copy paste feature

I worry that these plagiarizing thieves are going to spoil it for all of us honest posters and make it so we lose our copy and paste privileges.
I was wondering if the privilege could be selectively removed, like taking the ability away from someone who is guilty of copy/pasting other's discussions
OR
let us have the ability to copy and paste but not copy off of mylot
that way we can still copy our own work that we have on another program, but can not hilight and copy anything that is on the mylot site.
That would save a lot of grief, don't you think?

Hey, I think this is an AWESOME idea. If someone is found guilty of plagiarism, not only should the offending discussion/response be removed, his copy-paste privilege should also be revoked. You are a dear, Modestah. This is such a great suggestion.

;) I really feel for you LWW! I can not believe how this person is abusing his mylot privilege and you without any shame or remorse - but boldly stealing and boasting about it. I am getting mixed emotions of wanting to slap him upside the head and throwing up on him. Good thing this is only cyber life and I can more easily control my responses.

I don't know what got into me. I told myself I won't post any ripped off discussion after the first one - the one who ripped my reiki article - but I lost control today. I regretted posting that 2 discussions today.
I have to remind myself to stop posting such ripped off discussions in future. It must have been irritating to you and others, I am really sorry.

that sounds good to me also-mylot copy should be blocked.too many people are getting hurt/ripped off by that.

I think taking away the copy feature from mylot is best. There are many sites you cannot copy anything from, this should be one. The idea that some people are so frivolous and are making Mylot into a site where you are constantly checking if you've been robbed or not, gives the feel of living in a high crime area. It has become ridiculous seeing all the posts about thiefs, not that the person is wrong for posting them, but the mere fact that they have to.

I think that is a wonderful idea...but it would also be nice if you could continue to copy and paste from your own posts on mylot.
This would save people loads of time in answering questions that have already been thrown out there.
