"Basically shutdown is the main step when we leave out from the computer. Why we intended to shutdown the computer rather directly switch off.Is there intention or its a regular process. What causes are made when we concluded with direct switch off.Is there any problem being happened to the device other than harddisk while switch off directly.Else Why it affects only harddisk? The solution is Because harddisk is permanent storage device which means collect our data and stored it for later use.So each time we shutdown before the operating system process all the data safely and stored it in the corresponding place and stop all the services then it establish the path to make for shutdown process. This shutdown process is mainly for safe continuity in another time we logged in.before shutdown the system the data will not be in corresponding place and all services are running in the background. Atlast but not least without shutdown the system may harm your harddisk quickly! So do regular shutdown as far as possible. Please intimate if the above information made any mistake.

I usually don't shutdown my computer when I leave the house, unless I am going for school. But that usually doesn't happen, cause I don't get on that early. But I always shut it down before I go to bed.

Not only going out, the moment my computer job over, I shut down my computer. There is voltage fluctuation here and it is better if the computer is shut down and switched off.

Hi velkrish. Everytime I have to leave the house, I shut down the pc, turn off the main oven switch, I make sure to turn everything off, just a habit I grew up with I guess.
