I type in a nice long discussion and for some reason when I click "start discussion", I get a page error instead of the tags page, so I hit refresh thinking that might be a good thing to do, and then it gives me an empty box...now I know I can't even paste my discussion into that box because I have not reached 500 posts yet, so I am literally "scr3wed"!! I try hitting the back button, because I remember that doing this had worked for me one time, but not this time...so I really have to go and type over all that I have just typed!! That is *so* NOT fair!!

That happens to me a lot when I'm responding to discussions! It drives me nuts! I take the time to type a quality response, and then I get an error message and lose my response. It's so frustrating. Then sometimes, I've had that happen and when I try to refresh it or something, then the same message ends up getting posted twice. It's really weird. Half the time I end up just giving up on it instead of typing the response again cause I get so frustrated. :P

I know exactly what you mean. I still haven't posted the last discussion I had been meaning to post because I just gave up and started this one instead...it really does take time to type in a quality response or discussion and it's frustrating to find that you have to type it over when you're not in the same frame of mind you were at the start. You've kinda gone through the process and reached the end...only to find you have to start over...it's never the same as it was the first time! It loses some of the spirit/passion/energy/whatever!

I can't stand this glitch either as I am able to copy but often don't take the time to bother and then when I realize my page is not going anywhere it is too late to copy what I typed up and then I lose it all and have to restart all over again and find I never get it down the second time as well as the first time I did it up .
It is one of the glitches with MyLot and hopefully over time they will be able to fix this problem as it seems to be happening more and more on here and is taking longer to open pages .
I feel that one of the reasons for this is probably the growing nubmer of individuals joining MyLot each day . MyLot's reputation is growing and with the growth of it are bound to be some problems but all we can do is hope for the best :)

Yes, it could very well be the growing number of users! And I know what you mean about not bothering to copy...most times everything works smoothly so you never think you have to copy anything to the clipboard...I always get complacent and forget that something like that could happen!
Yes we certainly can only hope for the best!

I have never had this happen. But I have had when I hit sumbit and the page just never loads. You're right though it is frustrating. Especially if you had a great reply to someone or a good topic going. I have no clue why this stuff happens. Thank goodness it don't happen alot though.
