I have some bad experience on fast foods. As per my work is concerned I have to travel a lot. During journeys fast food are the only way to get easily at any stop. These fast foods are delicios but it often causes stomach disorders to me. Wherever it is possible I try to take some home made cooked food. It keeps me good. I prefer cooked food. What about your experience? Is the problem with me only or some other have faced similar problems.

Fast food is really bad for you! It is almost always high in fat, calories and soduim, not to mention it is lacking in any nutritional value. My family eats fast food once in a while but only if there is no other choice. I much prefer cooking meals for my family so I can be sure they are nutritious and cheaper too.

Not only you, most of them have this problem. Its always better to have cooked food. Fast food may be delicious but we dont know what they use to make this food. There are chances that they may give us the overnight kept food which can lead to many problems.

You are very correct we don't know how the fast foods are. There may be added condiments to make it delicious which affect our digestive system. Thanks for responding.

home cooked food is always better, because only you know the ingredients, condiments, that you put it. You know what agrees with you and what doesn't. Put if you cook with lots of grease etc, it can be just as bad as fast foods.

Hey ibs, I think it's probably a concensus that home cooked meals are better for you (in most cases) than fast foods. However, I'd rather not cook & will order out if given the opportunity LOL Try carrying some healthy snacks w/ you like trail mixes etc.. If you want you can take a peep @ http://onebody.wholefoodfarmacy.com/ you'll find plenty of tips for keeping healthy on the go |;D +'s 2 U :D

Home cooked food is still the best when it comes to nutrition. You control what you put into your meal and you can make it as healthy as you can. With fast food meals, we're not sure what they put in them. Yes, they are very delicious and tasty, but they are also fat and calorie laden and we're not sure if the methods that they used for cooking are safe and sanitary. Maybe that's the reason why you're having upset stomach very often. Make home cooked meals as much as possible. You can prepare them in advance when you have time to do it, then freeze them and just thaw and microwave a portion when you need it. It's safer, cheaper and nutritious.

I consider cooked food at home is much nutritious and healthy rather than on the fastfoods or restaurants, where theyre using more oil for the preparation.

I also have faced such problems. In my school days, i use to take lot of fast foods in the shops. After started working, i used to eat only once or twice in the fast food shops. It is better to take snacks rather than eating in hotels and fast foods. Fast foods taste good but the problems cause by it are not good. It is good avoid fast foods to the maximum

Must admit! Im not a fast food lover, I deffinatly preffer to have a good wholesome cooked meal any time,, Fast food is OK in moderation, I was out in York with a close friend on Thursday for the day, we went into a cafe that was totally organic and served much nicer food than the burger bars, yet the prices suprisingly was very reasonable to eat. Made a refreshing change too Lynn-Marie

For me cooked food is much more better for health than fast food. For one, we use the best ingredients, wash them properly and using just a little amount of oil - besides removing the excess fats. While in fast food, I agree with you that they're look yummy and all but if you'll taste or eat it there's no taste at all. Worst they're serving it even it's already spoiled, have experienced that with my family and my wife complained twice already.

One should always prefer cooked food.Fast foods are tasty and delicios but they are noot good for health. It is a matter of concern that young generation is more after the fast food.Even sometimes parents feel that instead of cooking readymade food is ok. So you are right that it may cause stomach disorders. I prefer cooked, homemade food. Once in a while I may go for fast food.As such after eating I donot feel any problem. But still I am a cooked food lover.

Foods we bought in fast foods is never healthy compared to the food we cooked at home. Most foods in fast food chains are really greasy and to top it all we dont know how it was prepared or cooked. as compared to home cooked food wherein we buy all the ingredients and since we prepare it, we can assure that it is safe and healthy. we can even add some other ingredients that we want to. Its also cheap compared to fast foods.

Fast foods do not tend to use the best quality ingredients and also tend to be greasy and salty. Why not try sushi, sandwiches or rolls, and salads (with dressing on the side)for healthier fast food alternatives? The only thing is, most of these could be made easily at home anyway. I tend to take leftovers from dinner to work for lunch.
