My God/dess is more powerful then yours!

We all like to deny it, but most of us are very guilty of it. Comparing god sizes seem to be a fashion that has never gone out of style. Perhaps it's because of how close we are to our god/dess/es (could someone please give me a better term?). The ego likes to compare, to win, so we end up dragging 'upper management' into our contests. Countless wars have been fought over whose boss(es) is/are bigger. But few have stopped to ask them if that was what upper management wants. It takes so much effort to create, raise and educate a follower, and that follower runs off and gets himself/herself killed over something that might not even matter. Perhaps if we actually listen, we might not have to fight at all.

I usually say deity or deities personally. =p Anyways, you have a really good point. It makes no sense whatsoever for a deity to want their followers to go to war over whether they are the best. Seriously, what does that help? And if all the followers die out fighting these wars, then who is going to worship the deities? Personally, I don't feel the need to say my Gods are better than anyone else, or that other people's Gods don't exist. I just say that my Gods are my Gods, and leave it at that. =)

My points excellence gal :) Followers should be taught to lighten up about their believes. If a deity feels insulted, I'm sure he/she is more then able to due with it. Lighting rods are no protection from freak lighting and ball lighting =x
