I have used different kinds of birth control pills over the years. I had the same problem. I would suggest consulting your doctor because, there are different levels of hormones and everyone might need a different dosage so that things are level in your body. Or it could be a sign of something else going on in the body, like your extra hormones are not being released like they are supposed to. I have tried 4 different pills, but then I went on the birth control patch, which I didnt like at all, I bled the entire time. After that I tried the nuva ring, it actually helped. I didnt bleed as much. Just depends on your body, and what it needs. I would suggest consulting your doctor and she will eb able to tell you what is going on, and suggest another brand.

I'm not on birthcontrol yet because I'm pregnant but I was on yasmin. It worked pretty well for me. Except it was $40 bucks a month. Everyones body is different so you really should go and see your ob for a stronger birth control pill.

I take Ovcon 35 birth control pills to regulate my period. Now when I get my period it only lasts about 3-4 days and it's not as heavy. I used to get very heavy and painful periods that were very irregular. I'm glad I am taking these pills even if they aren't the preferred onces with my health insurance. So I have to pay a higher copay but it's worth it to make life bearable. I used to be on something called Yasmin, but I still got a lot of breakthrough bleeding with that and it was like having two periods a month. You really should talk to your ob-gyn though, I know those appointments really suck, but that's probably the only person that will be able to help you.

Yes i do,Im using Yasmin pills for three years now. It is a bit pricey but since I dont have problems while using it, i think its worth it. I was using another brand of pills for the first year after i gave birth but the effect was i was having mood swings all the time that is why I asked my OB another brand of pills, and she gave me Yasmin.
