Hitting Back On Others

No, I would never hit back, I am not a fighter. But one rainy Saturday afternoon when I was in living in downtown Philadelphia, PA I was doing my errands and shopping for the day, I had one of my arms full of bags and the other was holding my umbrella when a homeless man approached me and starting beating me over the head with his umbrella, I was in a state of shock when it happened, it happened so quickly, it was a busy day on one of the main shopping streets of Philadelphia, not a sole stopped to help me or to even ask if I was okay, the homeless man rain away after I fell to the ground, I picked myself up, hurt and confused as to what happened, I looked around and no one even stopped, I was so hurt, I called a friend of mine on the phone to tell them what happened and they told me where the newest police station was, to my astonishment a police officer was a block away, he claimed he saw no one and of course there was nothing I could do but go home with a bruised head and a hurt sole. I will never forget that homeless man and unsure whatever caused him to lash out at me like that, but we will never know.

Hello,wolfie,if a stranger slaped me on the street, i thought i would not fight back,there was no point to hit them back or to take the revenge as i did not know them, may be they were lunatic. If he was my partner, I would not fight back,I might do it when no one saw us.lol. Calling the police would not help as they would not care these small matters.

I don't know if I would hit back at a stranger pal, ( tough one there) as they might have a weapon or something on them , If anyone I know hit me I think I would ask them why , If a partner ever hit me yes I would hit back all 4 ft 11 and a half of me , as you know pal I have a great marriage and we both respect each other but I think if a partner were to hit you ,you would loose all respect for them and in my eyes there would be no respect equals no love and I would be out of it quick smart ( after leaving my mark ) xx

No I wouldn't and I didn't as I am scared Person and I would not retaliate like that I have taken a lot my Life and I hope never to again

I would not hit back. i don't believe in violence. If i got hit and it left a bruise I would call the cops. Here in the US if it looks like abuse the person who did it will go to jail.Even if its a women hitting man. I only had a guy hit me one time in my life. Needless to say he was out of my life the same day lol. I wont hesitate to call the cops on someone who abuses me. Oh hi Wolfie, didn't se you there *grin* xxxx

haha.. if someone hit me in the back.. i can still stand it.. i think i will ask him what's the purpose of doing that.. but if he kick my back.. wow.. that's a little too much.. i'll just smash his head on the floor.. and make him regret for doing it.. haha..why do others want to that to us? i think they're not that crazy huh? .. if it's my partner.. of course i will forgive her.. come on.. she's the one i love.. if she hit me.. that mean she loves me.. haha.. that's what others believe.. and i believe in that too.. if it's a stranger.. sorry dude.. you're going over the limit =)

well my hubby wouldn't hit me, once i remember he got up and caught my lip with his arm he was horrified he had hurt me. Having being bullied i prefer the no violence approach but i am very protective of my family like a tiger i take no prisoners, we were out one night me and hubby and friends ,theres always one stupid drunk well he decided i was the one for him ,as i wasn't interested he decided to put hubby out of action he picked up a glass and came from behind my hubby, he was going to smash it round his head i just lost it i sent him flying he was so drunk he couldn't get up! hubby couldn't believe it as he says i'm not the type to fight! Even the bouncers came and shook my hand said he's a right pain i have seen him several times since always of his head and he still tries to follow me lol

i would always hit back no matter who hit me except for my family as i have a lot of respect for them. i dont want to be used as anyones punch bag at anytime when they feel like hitting someone.

I think the natural response will be to hit back, it is a survival instinct,as for witnesses do not the cuts and bruises count . I think as well I probably try to run away I do not like pain but if it came out of no where I might hit back by instinct, And no matter what they need to be reported for abuse or domestic violence, Your own protection must come first

I guess it would really depend on the situation really, but I'm not one to lie down and be trodden all over and if there were no witnesses then I'm sure I'd whack them back! If my partner hit me, they would be out the door faster than their legs could carry them!

If someone hits me no I wouldn't hit back I would ask why did you hit me? Do you feel better now if it was abuse that's a different story I would call the law on them shame on them for hitting. As for no wittness that would be hard unless he/she gave me a big bruise.

Having the temper that i have i would have to say id probably bust them in thier junk!!!!I dont handle people disrespecting me to well.I lash out even when people say something wrong to me.I know its not a good thing but like i said...i have anger issues.If it was someone i loved like a family member id try to walk away unless they keep provoking me.My kids father hit me and i stabbed him.But he beat me pretty bad.I even called the cops on myself.I didnt get in trouble cuz self defense.

If it was a man who hit me, I'd probably hit back and would call the cops on them. I probably won't hit a girl because usually, I'm a little bit strong for a girl and I do't want hurting another. If I hit a man, I know it would probably be just a pinch to them. Inflicting Physical injuries to someone is a crime even if it is only a minor one. I have a brother and a father who is a lawyer and I'm studying up law so I won't hesitate to call the cops on them, who cares if it's his word against mine? I've got two of my country's finest lawyers backing me up. LOL.

There are two conditions so that two choices we have...if a stranger hit me or anything he does with me without A good reason...i must hit back to him and let him to know how much size shoes i weared...but my partner does that as that way..i would have more patiences to do with her even got a slap or a punch or a kick..lol.

i WOULDNT STAND THERE AND LET SOMEONE JUST BANG ON ME. I WOULD TRY TO PREVENT THE ALTERCATION OF COURSE but you have to defend yourself then try to protect your body and of course call the police because that is assault.

Well i never had experienced that sort of a thing. No one ever hit me. I know that if my partner would have hit me, he would get a hit or two back, and i would tell him to go and to never come back with a few additional things. Lol. If someone of the street would hit me on purpose, i think that the first thing that will be is that i will get into shock, because i never grow up or was with people that hit. After that i would hit the hell out of him and be sure i will call the police on him, and sue him for causing me a mental and physical damage. No one at no situation will raise a hand on me.

i will definitely hit back who ever hits .i am indian.yes gandhiji father of our nation who fought against british people for our freedom with non-violence as a weapon.he told that "if anyone slap you on one cheek show him your other cheek".but he never if he beats on second cheek to keep quite .thats why i will beat him.i have no faith in cops. they do nothing,if they were present at the scene and we go to him ,he dos nothing.simply says go and report in the station.we cant live without fighting back.survival of the fittest.

If it were my partner, i won't hit back.If he is a totally stranger and suddenly hits me, i would definitely retaliate until he gets lame. Then I'll go to the police and report the problem. Goodluck!

If it's a stranger who has hit me, then he's surely going to get it back right on his nose, but if it's a partner or a friend i would think twice or maybe even thrice about it, because i hate making enemies. Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate.
