i sure do. I hate pumping gas and now its so far out of my way to get to a station that will pump it for you. nothing worse then being dressed up trying to put air in your tires on the way to work. Or getting gas on you when it drips and then smelling like gas. I have had a few occasions where that has happened.

I do. We have one pretty close and I don't mind paying the couple of cents more they sometimes charge. It worth it to have my tires and water checked.

That is a great memory. Going to the gas station and having someone pump your gas. I don't mind it so much, pumping my own. But you have a point about spilling gas on yourself...have done it a few times myself.

I don't miss full service, because they charge much more...I always pump with self service...I get your point...but they used to charge much more....... When I was upstate NY, they did have full service station...so..I guess it depends on popularity and state...

Keep a pair of gloves in your trunk for pumping gas and putting air in your tires, it will help to keep your hands clean. I do miss the full service stations too.

I kind of like pumping my own gas, I've lived in lots of different states. In Oregon you're not allowed to pump your own, but you sometimes have to wait forever for the one attendant on duty to pump your gas. I've been late to work before because of that. Sometimes the attendants were creepy and would flirt with me too. So that's why I like pumping my own gas, I don't have to deal with all of that. The only thing that sucks is if there's a problem with my credit card and I have to go inside to pay, that's a pain in the butt with a toddler, I have to pull him out of the car, juggle him on my hip, and dig through my wallet to pay inside.

Yes I do. Even in the 1980's, late 1980's, at my local Union '76 station on Lemon Avenue in Walnut, CA, my sister's friends worked there and they would come up to us, clean our windows and fill our tank up. Gosh, those were the days....it seems like only yesterday when that happened. What happened? I mean, customer service was king and they were more than happy to help us because we were their guests and we helped keep their business open. And, they always had a smile. Yup, customer service has gone to the wayside I am afaid. Maybe this is what happens when there is inflation and people just do not care anymore.

here in New jersey all of our gas stations are full serve. it`s against the law to pump our own gas and I like it that way. it`s nice and keeps jobs here.

I do miss it, we do have one that does it here in our town. I go there when the weather is bad. It is nice not to have to get out in the rain or snow.

I haven't seen a full service gas station in years, at least ten if not closer to twenty. I do miss them and the way the workers really seemed to want to aid you in things if you had a question. It was nice and I admit I liked it. It's a shame they got rid of them all. There aren't any around here.

Thats one of the perks of living in Oregon. No self serve gas stations. Every time someone tried to get it voted in it failed so we are stuck with full service gas stations. I really don think it costs much more than self serve either.

I'm glad that we have full service gas stations here in my country, i havent seen one that is not like that. I wouldnt like to have those here too. One because i dont know how to (even if they orient everyone how to do it). Second is just how you have pictured it, ready for work all dressed up and "BOOM" gas drips, oh that would sure ruin my day or at least the hassle of changing clothes (if i have one that is spare clothes and time). :) If ever in the worst scenario that it will be adapted in my country, i think what im going to do... if to full my tank at night after work. But with flat tires and air "OHHH, that i am embarass to admit, but i dont know how to because i always just park my car in the gas station and ask them a favor to change it for me or add air for me. And i just give them a TIP because its free of charge. :P

Thankfully, where I live there are still a few full service gas stations that don't charge extra for the full service. I hate pumping my own gas, but frankly with the price of gas, I may have to learn to like it.
