I have never tried mayo before but I have tried raw eggs on my hair before. I rubbed it in like Shampoo and left it in for 5 minutes. Once I washed my hair it was extremely shiny and bouncy.

I did try mayo and I think it added some shine, but I couldn't STAND the smell :( This is the most shiney I've ever gotten my hair-try this: You'll need 1 papaya, 1 avocado, a 3 Tbsp rosemary, 1 Tbsp almond oil, 2 cups of water, a spray bottle, plastic wrap, hair dryer. -Boil rosemary in water, then let it cool. -Smash up papaya and avocado. -Massage almond oil into your scalp. -Rub papaya/avocado mush all into your hair. -Put the cool rosemary water into the spray bottle and mist your hair down. -Cover your head with plastic wrap and heat hair with a blow dryer. -Let sit in hair for at least 15 minutes. -Rinse out Hope you try it!

I did try this when I was a teenager as well as using an egg yolk as this was said to make your hair shiny and healthy looking but I never found it gave me any different results . I tried many different idea's to make my hair have that nice healthy glow that you see on the televeision commercials and have never found anything that really makes ones hair look like that and now believe it must be something you are born with or a trick with lights lol :)
