I had a shattered ankle from a car accident. My wife had a car fall on her and she broke her arm badly.

A fractured left wrist. I was in a hurry going down the stairs when I slipped down and my body was supported by my left hand when I fall. I was in pain, I am alone and I am about to go to work, ten I go to the hospital. The first hospital I was given emergency cure and about to be confined when no rooms was available, so I have to look for another hospital. I was confined for 4 days, my left hand was in full cast for one whole month and another one month for my half cast. At present I am undegoing theraphy, the first 2 weeks on a daily basis, the next 2 weeks thrice a week and these last two weeks twice a week. Hopefully it will be back on its old self again. So hard to get one.

I have broken two bones on the wrist - roller skating, or I should say falling while attempting to rollerskate. I broke my coccyx (tail bone) by slipping off icy cement steps. I have broken the insteps on both of my feet by falling through a chair I was standing on.

When I was four years old I broke my arm, I fell off a chair and broke my arm just above my elbow. I had a cast for six weeks and a sling to keep it from moving too much. If I remember correctly I was standing on the chair reaching up on a ledge that goes around my rec room and one of the legs of the chair was on a book. I guess the chair tipped from not being on all four legs and fell off. Ouchie

I have been lucky and never broken a bone. I have had my share of accidents and falls though. And I certainly got cut often when I was a kid. Been lucky about the bones.

i've broken the same wrist on 2 separate occasions. the first time, i was 5 and fell in gym class. it was put into a splint at that time. the second time was when i was 14. again i fell in the gym, but not during gym class. that time i had to have a cast on for 6 weeks. it was funny when i was at the hospital getting the x-ray the second time, the doc came in with the x-ray and a puzzled look on his face. he asked my mom and i if i had ever broken it before. we laughed and said, "yep, same wrist, in almost the exact same way-just 9 years later..." the doc told us that it was pretty close to the same spot too!

I've broken both of my wrists at different points in time. My right arm, I fell out of my bunk bed when I was little and smacked my wrist on the bottom bunk. My left arm, I feel out of a tree. Both times I remember nothing between being up where I was and waking up on the ground. I'm just glad I didn't fall on my head.
