No, i do not set my clock faster than it's actually time. I always get up by myself in the morning, and i alway wake up at certain time, it is just become a habbit now for me, and i am not use an alarm to make me wake up, I will automatically wake up at cerain time. And i also kind of person that is ontime, so i have no need to set my clock faster than it's actually time.

It is a good idea and some people do it. But do you gain anything? Instead you can set you alarm to 15 min earlier time and snooze for those 15 min. And imagine, you will be bang on time for your job.

I always set not only my alarm clock faster, but the clock inside of my car. It just seems to give me a pychological lift in the morning. I keep my car clock 14 minutes fast. Sometimes I think I'm running late for work and then realize I have a extra 14 minutes. Thanks for this discussion. I didn't know that others did this too. Lloyd

Well, that is just some good trick. I used to do that when I lived alone but now my husband takes care of all the clocks in the house. He doesn't like it when we set them a little bit faster.

Yes I usually set my time 10 minutes earlier then our time here in the office.I make sure that I set it in advance so that I will not be late.

I think many of us do the same thing as you did. I do that also. When the clock rings, I know that I can sleep another minutes before I really get up and get ready. I usually set it 10 minutes faster. But I do think that this habit is not good because it will anyone feel lazy to wake up early and have the dreadful feeling of getting up in the morning when the second alarm rings.
