Was kane better when he was masked?

Before kane became unmasked is remember him as a real kick butt kinda wrestler and oponents were intimidated by him much like the undertaker but then when he was unmasked he seemed to loose that and still even now he is not feared in the way he was by other wrestlers, do you think that kane lost some if not alot of his appeal when he was unmasked? or do you think it made him better in some way?
The same question can be asked about rey mysterio when he was in wcw as he was unmasked there as well but kept on fighting but i actually prefered rey without his mask i don't know why but he seemed to buck up a little as if now he was unmasked he had something more to prove and he kind of stepped up a gear after that where as kane seems to have stepped down a gear do you think this would have happened had kane not been unmasked? or would kane still have dropped down a gear?

Kane kicked butt when he had the mask on and he could've beat Undertaker easily but now Undertaker is better than him and Undertaker will never lose to him again

yeah kane did kick butt when he was masked and could have beaten undertaker any time but he's lost his essence now, i mean i will give him his due's he was brilliant in see no evil but as a wrestler he has lost his integrity i think and it will take some damn fine wrestling and a bit more aggression to get it back, some how kae needs a transformation but i doubt they will give him it.

i think so.he lost some of his intimidation factor
when he took the mask off.being an anonymous face can be more frightening.it's like seeing leatherface.not the same.

i totally agree with you on that one, when he was unmasked i was expecting something totally different from what he looks like i don't know why maybe because of the stories that were flying around about him and undertaker but now i just don't see the same wrestler in him that was there before and it's a shame really.
