Tol Defensor's low ratings...is it because of PGMA?

Everyone knows that he is one of the whispering voices behind GMA. As proven by the case of GMA's "emergency powers" which was later revealed to have been suggested by Mike (he said so himself). It is also apparent that regardless of reason and cause, he will stand back behind GMA and justify her actions. I think the last thing we all want is to have a person who is dependent on Malacañang. It is then not so much that I won't vote for him because he "is close to GMA," rather because he lacks the independence to think for the country without approval of Malacañang.

Ever received the joke text message that Malacanang is sending Mike Defensor to Guimaras when there was an oil spill? It said " kasi magaling syang sumipsip" :p Well, I don't know much about that but I have my reasons why I won't vote for him. First, I was very turned off when the show Palaban in GMA did a story on Defensor and Escudero. Both had a penchant for nice (read: very, very expensive!) things that leaves one to wonder how they could afford that at a salary of only around P30k a month? The segment even showed Defensor's kids wearing LaCoste polo shirts that were said to cost P3k each. I guess a pair of his shoes alone could feed a family of five for two months already! My goodness, all that wealth-flaunting makes me sick! Knowing that there are so many Filipinos who are starving day to day, and yet a lot of politicians blatantly display their wealth without showing any compassion to the poor or taking concrete actions to alleviate poverty in this nation. Such a disgrace. And oh, a friend of a friend revealed that it is confirmed: Defensor has a mistress. More than I hate corrupt officials are those that are liars and cheaters to their own families.
