I'm Really Annoyed by a Certain Spammer Here!

I'm really rather angry and am not in the best of moods right now. I went through one of my interests here on Mylot that I mainly enter discussions about, and to my suprise some IDIOT has been spamming heavily around this great community. I'm sorry if it offends anyone that I used the word "idiot" and will appoligize if need be. I think it's just a waste of a good community when people are on here spamming and trashing things up. If you look in the "Making Extra Money" interest then you'll probably know who I'm talking about. I'm not naming any names, but I have reported several of this persons posts and rated them negitive. Normally I wouldn't do either of those two things but this person made around 20 spam posts pretty much back to back. What do you guys think? Am I wrong for feeling how I do?

There is no right or wrong when it comes to feelings, but it's all about what you do with those feelings. Frankly, there are so many people in this community to it's probably easier to avoid these annoying spammers than it is to report them. I've met wonderful people for the most part and the ones that annoy me (the never ending blonde jokes and the x-rated posts), I just avoid.

You're doing the right thing my friend. Back then, i too face this kind of problem which is one of my topics were spammed by unknown person. I think myLt should have a method to detect a members here if they're doing something wrong, so inspection for community activities should be done frequently. One more thing my friend, can we know whose the one who spamming others here? I too want to contribute in reporting whose the responsible person of it...

Yes, I know exactly what you are talking about. I think it is ridiculous. I have been reporting him and forwarned him of it and that his posts were to be deleted.

I feel the same way. That's why I don't really go to the "Making Extra Money" interest very much. All it seems to be the the same people spamming the same programs over and over again. I'm all for everyone helping each other out with making money but there comes a time when enough is enough. I'm guilty of posting discussions about referrals but I try not to do it very often. I don't want to run all of my friends off and them think that's all I want to talk about.

nothing wrong with posting your referrals and trying to promote your affiliate programs, and I like your post's they are interesting, even your referral links, you never know where a link will lead you :)

Yeah, spammers are number one problem everywhere you go. You just have to deal with it anyone you know how. But, they are indeed annoying. I think it is ok to feel that way and I don't see anything wrong with it at all.

No you are not wrong in doing this. It seems that if this person is making back to back posts in this much time then they must be spamming mylot and copying and pasting the message. I would report as well as put in the negitives like you have. I do this when i see to many one word answers and some answer that don't even fir to the topic that was started. Mylot can't keep up with all of those that are spamming and ask up for help in filtering these type of people out and briging it up to their attention ao it was a good thing that you did this. Well, I say you gotta do what you gotta do. Sometimes ppl (not here specifically) p.iss me off & I make posts about it then later on I regret all or part of the post so I go back & modify or delte it. That's why I've learned (the hard way) to be very careful about what I post here-b/c we can't do either on MyLot.

I dont think that I have been spammed on here yet but I have gotten a few emails from someone named coolguy and he is wanting me to join here like the idiot he is you think that he already knows that I am here to get my email address. but I sent him a email back telling him how dumb he was and to stop sending me that crap. yes I hate spammers also. like they have nothing better to do with their time.

Yeah, i see who you are talking about. Don't worry he will be gone soon. Mylot will delete him and then there will be no worries. Spammers don't last long hare on mylort. I know it isn't easy but just ignore the poor fellow. its obvious he has nothing better to do with his time. Poor guy probably has no life.

No, you did what's right. This site has no room for spammers and we musn't let them around here,right? It's us that make the communities not the spammers and they're here only because of the money,but this is not the way of making them.

No, I don't think you are wrong to feel like you are getting spammed. I must have missed that little mess, but I know what you mean, I have seen the same sort of thing on other days, with post after post after post. It's juts too much, and you have to wonder what their motivation could possibly be because you wouldn't think it would ge them anywhere.

We have the same feeling towards these irresponsible "idiots" who can't get enough posting the same message all over again. This type of activity should have been banned here at myLot as this could affect the site and eventually affect all of us here.
We must do something by reporting this to the admin and telling the poster pointblankly to stop what they are doing because it could cause harm to the site. Definitely annoying and quite repulsive to watch those spamming messages. We must follow the rules here at myLot inorder to contribute to its stability and profitability.
Let us help myLot.

I've seen two such people do the same thing while I'm here and I can't see how they are gettng away with it. One of them within an hour had accumulated 6 pages of useless information with mainly one line post's. I almost booted that interest out of sortie, lol. But yeah pretty damn annoying. I did like you reported a few of them but saw that person was able to still post.

I agreed that there were a lot of spamming here in MyLot. But I believe the only thing can be done to reduce it is for the MyLot comittee themselves to be more specific about the posting rules.
Sometimes you just can not blame the users, especially new users who might still not accustomed to MyLot. For example, in the "Making Extra Money" interest, I believe a lot of new users who try to make extra income will create that kind of post without carefully reading the rules.
I say MyLot should gave them a warning first, then if it still going on, then Mylot can suspend their account or something like that.

I would normally say be and let be but what that "idiot" did is ridiculous. I mean that definitely should be against the rules. No you are not wrong and yes it is good that you reported this person. This is a place for us to have playful as well as serious discussions, network, meet new people. Having to go through pages of nonesense is just uncalled for.
