what I want to do in college. I have no idea what I want to be when i'm older, or anything. I'm kind of starting to stress because that is kind of important and I dont want to go to college for the heck of it and take all these classes and then change my mind on what I want to be when I get out and stuff. I mean did you guys know what you wanted to be, how'd you decide on what you wanted to be? ... ugh so stressful.. HELP!

are you in grade 12? if you are, it is definitely time to get down and think about what you want to do. if you are not in grade 12 yet, you still have time. i didnt know what to take until i was in grade 12 during the last semester. its hard to know what to take in college because you need to try out all of the courses in high school that you want to try first.

I took a banking course while I was in high school and I knew that is what I wanted to do. I've been in banking for 25 years now, although I do run my own business on the side as well. Perhaps you should make some lists of what you like and what you don't like so you can narrow it down. I guess I can't really help you since it was very clear for me from the time I was 16 what I wanted to do and I'm very happy with my decision. When my daughter went to college, she didn't know what she wanted to do either. She just focused on her generals and ended up taking an accounting class. She discovered that she actually liked accounted and decided to go in that direction. So, you never know. I wouldn't stress to much about it. It will come to you when you least expect it.

Don't stress, Chel! You don't realize how many students feel the EXACT same way that you do! Not all college students know what they want to be when they enroll. So many college students are actually there to figure out what they're interested in/what they would be good at. I had no IDEA what I wanted to do and just took the required courses and random classes. I didn't decide what I wanted to do until my 3rd year! Talk about panic! My advice: take a variety of courses. You're going to see that you're better and more natural at something than everything else....and if you don't, just major in business to cover that base and you'll be FINE! Good luck to you!

Thanks for the reply, I think i'll just take the basic classes everyone has to take when they first get there and then just go from there, and see what I do and do not like. Thanks =)
