Do you play with your dog or cat? What kind of toys do you buy for your pets?

Mine dogs like plush toys. I learn over the years that the best toys are baby toys. Toys designed for dogs are not always durable and safe, but baby toys are. Toys are expansive and no surprise, dog’s toys are more expensive that baby toys. I always buy toys for my dogs at garage sale…very often you can buy new plush baby toys for few cents. My dogs love new toys…I always buy one for each…but like little kids…they always fight for the same one…My dogs don’t play with balls, water or rubber toys.
They like cat toys and cat can’t play with her toy for long time without sharing her game..
What kind of toys do you buy for your dog or cat? Plush, water toys, rubber/latex, balls, fabric or other?

I don't have any pets at the moment and can't for sometime due to circumstances. However as soon as these change I'll be getting two big dogs again. And as for toys you're right they love to play, and my last dogs' favorite toys were the towels my wife and I were trying to dry them after their baths. So much fun.
I bought some rather expensive toys for them, but they enjoyed the simple things from around the house just as much as the bought toys.

Our little yorkie has a couple of teddy bear like toys. She has 2 tigers and one garfield. Her favourite is the thin tiger. She walkd around with it in her mouth all day just waiting for someone to come and play with her. One of its lets are missing, but still that is her favourite. She has chewed garfields eys out. But loves him also. She will play with a ball but prefers her soft toys.

ha, ha...my younger dog also is chewing all toys eye out...and noses...my older dog is always greeting me with toy in her mouth...my dogs also prefer soft toys...

I always play with him pola, he is my joy. He is almost 6 years old, but still looks like a puppy and acts like one.
He thinks my mother is his mother, and everyone that comes into my house, starts playing with him. you can see his picture on my profile page. I usually play with him runing a race inside the house, he loves it, and it makes my mother crazy. He is not interested in the usual toys. I bought him a ball, but he does not show any interest in that, and just looks at you, saying, what do you want from me. Lol. So runing and hide and seek is his best games. Lol.

My dogs like squeaky toys! and the kind that has the long ropes so we can play tug of war with it! I also find dog toys at yard sales..like the little stuffed animals and things like that cause they are cheap and when they get dirty or tore you can just throw them away!

yes, this is what I like about garage sale...stuffed animals are really cheap....I do the same...just throw them away when torn apart...

I have a cat that thinks she's a dog, I think! She LOVES to play fetch with a little piece of paper scrunched in a ball. Trouble is, she wants to play ALL day, and she'll even bring the paper to you and sit meowing at your feet till you throw it!
She's not that in to kitty toys--she much prefers having a 'person' playmate.

No I have a turtle and it is a little difficultous to play with him! But sometimes I try to play with my running turtle!

My turtle names were Asurbanipal and Agistos...very fast...they used to greed me when I was comming home from school...:)

We play with the dog constantly, she has a couple stuffed animal toys she likes to drag around and sleep on, otherwise it's just us as the toys,lol. The cat prefers his tail to anything we have gotten for him he is mighty self-sufficient!!

I have a dog and a cat, would you believe they both like playing fetch with a ball. I wish they would play together. My dog is crazy about playing with a ball. That is all she wants to play. She always walks around with a ball in her mouth for someone to play ball. My cat love to play with super balls. I throw the super ball and he jumps in the air and tries to catch it. Then he will bring the ball back in his little mouth. Very cute.

My dog loves ball she wants to play cath with my daughter. Any kind of ball, I bought her last week a rubber ball she loves to chase the ball when it rools.

I'm fond of playing with our dog.. but sometimes i get mad for nipping my hands... We try to buy an artificial bones and ball for him for him to play with... but because of dog accessories are so expensive..we just manage make ball for him... even though it's just like of those in the petshops accessories but our dog is playing with it...

I love playing with my cats and dogs. They love all types of toys from the expensive ones to the cheap ones. Right now, the cat is fascinated with her cat nip mice and fluffy ball. They dogs are completely in love with their squeaky toys. The ones that squeak more are the best in their opinion. I'm always buying toys or a treat for them. It's pretty bad when I have to buy toys for the cats and dogs but then I have to buy toys for the rabbit and parrot so they don't get jealous. It's a trip!

My Little Fergi loves rubber toys. Especially if they have a rope on them. She holds the end and swings it around. But her favorite toys are pieces of mulch she grabs when we are finishing our walks. She always grabs a big piece and I let her bring it in. I tell her to go to her spot, and she goes outside to a corner to finish tearing it up into smaller mulch pieces. The corner is close to the end of the yard, so I have a mulch collection. I let her cause it keeps her busy for some time. I think she likes the fact that she can tear it apart and I wont get mad at her for it. She is so cute!!!

I have 30 cats and we play all the time! I give them catnip toys, paper balls and they find many things to amuse themselves with. When I am too busy to play with them, I have this ball that has a fake raccoon tail attached to it and it runs on batteries, so I just turn it on and it'll scoot all over the floor with that (tail) flopping around on it and it drives the cats crazy! Fun to watch!!

I have a cat and I enjoy playing with her. Here is one toy making tip for cats,:1. Get a piece of fabric. 2. Rip it in shreads on one side, and the same with the other side aswell. 3. Get elastic string and tie it to one end of the shreaded piece of fabric and make it so it wont come off easily, (you could also use velcrow), 4. Get some bells on tie it to the end of it(the side you wont hang it from). 5. Hang it on a chair and cats will come up to and play with it. You could also make a little bean bag looking thing with velcrow on one side and put catnip in it so it will stay in! :)

My two little jewels really don't care for toys...I have a ton of them...I was even considering buying a nice bed for each of them but they seem every bit as content with a cardboard box that I have one of my pillows in it with a pillowcase on it..oh, and of course, heaven forbid...I do change the pillow case once a week--another kind of freebie toy I made and that's the only one they do play with...so old material that I placed catnip in it, sewed it up and viola..instant catnip toy!

cats like catnip toys.....as far as pet beds...mine like to sleep all over the place and cat's favorite is one chair with pillow on it...I guess they like pillows...:)

Well the ultimate favorite place they like to sleep is my sofa...uh, correction their sofa...I never get a chance to sit on it...if I do they give me a rather nasty look--another place..cuddled up on my bed while I'm sleeping...hardly have room for myself..and I don't dare think of moving them--oh, no!

pets are very cute,i like dog as my pet too,dog has the emotion to their host,their noses are good, even can help host to find goods what is difficult to find to man.dogs also like toys,although the pet toys are more expensive,i will boy toys for my pet.

Sure..I have a very lovely dog and i often play with him..but i never have one cat before.because i love dogs than any kind of pets.actually i never buy a kind of toys for my dog.i think that dogs always has their funny things whatever or wherever they can get.When i see that my dog is playing with his own toys anytime,i really like to enjoy in playing with my dogs ..i think it is a good way to relax myself or being in happy time with my dog whether there are toys or not.
