How deep does the rabbit hole really go?

"Take the blue pill, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. Take the red pill and stay in wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes..." So how deep does it go? Tell me your thoughts on the Matrix and how you think it came about. What happened BEFORE the first move? What will happen in the year 2015 to spark the Matrix more than 150 years before it happens? I personally like to think of it like this... Since the recent passing of the Human Cloning Amendment, the american population begins their mass research. Eventually, they become aware of how much money is to be had, so they create machines to quicken the process 10 fold. Over time, more and more AI is born and begins doing all the humans old jobs. Soon, the machines become so advanced that they "think" for themselves. They become bored and disgusted with doing the humans every will. So they revolt and use their knowledge of the human body (through cloning embryos) to create a form of fused human body which they can hook up the a new computer system called the Matrix. And thus our story begins in the year 2100 with the first generation of the Matrix...

If you will really think of it, the thoughts of the matrix story could come true. Look at what we are having today. There are more and more machines that are actually doing the jobs of humans. In developing AIs, there may become a time that some scientist may create an AI that will destroy humans. This may happen because it may replace soldiers in the battlefield. This can be seen in the Animatrix where machines and humans are into war. I know there's a rule that prohibits people to create robots or machines that can harm humans but what if there's really a project going on that can be created for war. Cyborgs to replace humans. It will slowly be developed so that people won't notice about the project. I don't know if I'm making a point or not but what I really stand for is that the concept or the story of the Matrix especially the Animatrix can come true.
