is traveling fun?

In fact, i very much like traveling but has never sat on a train for more than 16hours. When i came to China and had to go to Chongqing from Beijing and was told it will take me 26 hours but lo and behold, the 26 hours expired and one of my friends told me we have about 10hours to go. I lost appetite from then, for i sat, stood when tired and was so bored that i pray never to take this type of train.
What is your experience on such a long non-stop journey?

i dont like travelling alone so i guess it is fun if you are with cool people even if it is that long. and it is aplus if you bring music. i dont travel without music, just takes the stress away

I am very keen on travelling. Going by train is my favourite way to travel. I tend to enjoy most train journeys whether they are long or short. So far the longest trip was 35 hours from Cairns to Brisbane in Australia. It passed many picturesque sugar cane fields. It was a lovely and quite relaxing journey.
Another time I was travelling from Krakow in Poland to Prague in the Czech Republic. There was much confusion on the train. Some travellers said that we would have to change trains in the middle of the night. If we didn't we would arrive in Vienna in Austria. So we took that option and waited for ages in the dark for our connecting train.
One of the most magical trips I have taken was from the Kenyan coast to Nairobi. The lights in all the compartments failed. We travelled by torch light. The next morning we saw a giffafe whilst we sat eating breakfast.

In India we have trains which keep running for 36 hours at a strtch from starting to destination.Normal long journey takes 20 to 24 hours.8 to 16 hrs travel is considered as easy.If one has a fully reserved berth and all dietery requirements, come to your berth, you can listen to music or talk on the mobile to your friends, then time passes swiftly. I for my self am fond of watching the changing landscape of my country which is wonderful.

traveling it`s fun, if you`re travelling woth your best friends! but it`s not verry much fun , if you don`t have enough money. i must admin , that when i have money and i go with my girl or friends on vacation, it`s great, but when i don`t have enough money, it`s not so great..

I do too love to travel. So I make it a point that sometime if ever there will be a no work day or holidays, my friends and I tried to plan things on whether when, where, how, what time we are going to travel. I always try to search about the place first so even if it will take a long journey I really wouldn't mind because I set my mind to it that it will be a long journey. So I try to sleep and relax at my seat or talk to my friends not minding the time because I know that not for long we will be at our destination.
