Meat mincer/grinder. Do you use one?

When I was a kid, whenever my Mum was going to make hamburgers, she'd attach a mincer to the kitchen table and make her own mince. I've never seen or heard of people still making their own mince meat, and wonder whether people still do. If so, what are the mincers like now, and are they easy to clean?
