I can answer that. The very first Chicken Soup book I bought, there was a story in it about a Vietnamese couple. They really went through some hard times. They were very influential in North Vietnam, but they had to relocate to South Vietnam and start all over, but they did very well, when the war got real bad there, they moved again, sold everything and got out of there, and eventually went to the U.S. on the way there, the man considered jumping but his wife talked to him encouragingly. I can understood how he felt because to have it and lose it more than once can just kill a spirit. Anyhow, they made it to the US, and they had a cousin who had a bakery in a mall. Now this is where I just have to love em. They worked in that bakery for like three years, and saved darn near all their money to buy that bakery from their cousin. together they made like twelve thousand six hundred. they saved all but the six hundred and lived in that bakery on the floor and washed up in the bathroom for like three years until they bought that bakery. They stayed a bit longer as well save more money, and only then did they go out and get a place. Now to me, THAT is sacrifice, committment and motivation. That story always inspire me and I truly wish more folks could see that and be motivated in whatever dream they are following.

What It Means to Be Adopted Teacher Debbie Moon's first-graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had different color hair than the other family members. One child suggested that he was adopted, and a little girl named Jocelynn Jay said, "I know all about adoptions because I'm adopted." "What does it mean to be adopted?" asked another child. "It means," said Jocelynn, "that you grew in your mother's heart instead of her tummy."
