In A Health Rut!!

I have been exercising over the last two months and trying to cut down on food as well and trying to eat a lot more healthier. I've lost 10 pounds over that period and have 40 more pounds to go. I was very motivated and committed to doing something about my weight and now I find myself in a rut, where I'm not so motivated to get up and go out for a walk or to the gym. What makes it even more harder is since my hubby is away overseas, there is noone else to take care of my son while I do my exercise regime. Can anyone suggest what exercises/training I could do with my 4 1/2 year old son? Motivation tips would help as well if you have any. Thanks in advance!!

A good one would be a stroll with your son hand in hand in the early morning before you go for breakfast or after dinner. Go cycling with him. He can be on a tricycle if he cannot ride yet :P Pretend you are the instructor of an exercise class and you are teaching your son some stretching. I am sure he love it. I did yoga with my nephews and niece and they like it especially if there are varieties and I make them hold for about 5 minutes.

haha great ideas especially the aerobics with my son - he also loves to dance so now and then we put on music and just shake shake shake :P Yoga, haven't tried that yet but worth looking in to. Thanks again whyaskq!

I can understand your situation, maddys. Having a child on our side can be pretty hard for us to do our own stuff. I don't have that much time to do some exercises anymore. The only exercises I have are doing household chores. It gave me a good sweat and helps me to burn off the calories that I have.

yup, i know what you mean~ when his father is home i'm able to nip away for an hour or two at the gym but because hes away in Africa for work, i haven't been able to keep up with it! its frustrating because I was doing so well these past two months and now I feel its all gone up the shoot! LOL thanks for sharing!
