Why Do Cheaters come on myLot?

I have seen many cheaters on here that are copy and pasting discussions from myself and my friends list. I have seen cheaters that ask silly questions such as: "What is Java?", "What is a computer?", "what is a washing machine?" I feel that if they don't know then they should search on Google. I think they are using myLot as a way to spam and/or get money. Actually one-line discussions, copying discussions, and one-line discussions are prohibited. Then people want to know why their discussions are deleted. What do you do with these discussions? I have been reporting them every time, sorry, but they just need to go.

I ust say that I just ignore discussions like these. Really I should think about giving them a negative rating at the very least, but I guess I just leave it to other people to do that, which isn't very responsible of me!
You ahve made me think, and in future I will make sure that if I see a discussion that is breaking the rules I will report them.

Thank you for your comments, yes you are right you can use the (!) to report these discussions. I usually look at the posters discussions and if I see a lot of them I report the person definitely. Thanks for replying.

CHEATER ALERT!
http://www.mylot.com/mnsrulz
This user name has been posting one line discussions, and he has other user names so he replies to his own discussions under different user names.
Report his discussions and don't reply to this user.

That's probably the same guy I reported. Sometimes Mylot gets rid of them pretty quickly. Hope this one is gone. But there will be more to take his place.

Yes, you are right! I also report the discussions because I think they are very silly, plus they are an abuse to the system. I am notifying any of my friends that are posting a lot of one-liners. If they don't stop I am going to report them and delete them from my list.

Sadly in life as well as on the internet and great sites like Mylot you will always get cheaters, they will try to use and abuse the system to get money, but most of the time they get found out or reported and any money they have made out of cheating is lost, so in the end they never win! So all they are doing is cheating themselves!

Yes, you are right. If they keep doing it their discussions are deleted and possibly they get their username deleted as well :(

Anywhere there's money to be made, you'll find cheaters and scammers who try to game the system. A lot of websites don't really do much to control them, so I think som people come here, thinking they're going to get away with it. They don't read the rules, so they don't realize that most of what they're doing won't make them any money because people will give them negatives, report them, or just not bother to reply to their discussions. They're really no different from people who scam old people out of their savings or pretend to be qualified workmen and start repair jobs, then leave with the money they've been given. The ones who come to sites like Mylot are just penny ante versions.

Yes, you are right because they will be deleted from the system. They don't get the money and no one responds to their discussions. That is basically what most people do here anyway which is a good to report the abusers and to not reply to their discussions.

Plain and simple, money. I know exactly what you are talking about. I find those what is questions to be so irritating. I mean like one or two is okay here and there, but when the same person posts one right after the other, it's irritating. I just don't even waste my time with them.

When I first joined myLot, I did not really worry too much about the cheaters. I did not really think it was worth the time it took to report them since my computer is so slow. Then one day I decided to read from the discussions from my interests, and went through 36 pages of one-liners written by three members before coming to anything else. That was when I started reporting one-liners.
Plagiarism is something that I have always reported, but as with the one-liners, there was one instance, which was finally the last straw. One day I posted a discussion, and quickly got my first response. When I went to see what the response said, someone had posted part of my own discussion as his response! I went to his profile and checked his responses and sure enough, he had done the same thing to many others. I guess that is when I said enough is enough. We do not want or need these people here.

Take a closer look at the second user you mentioned the short discussions by above. Many of the questions come from ask.yahoo, and a member of her friend list seems to get best response quite often (also copied from the same page of ask.yahoo)

Hm, thank you, well I am going to delete her from my friend list, I keep seeing those one page discussions from her, so I think that means bye-bye. Yea, feel free to report those discussions, I think I am going to do that.

Yes, I agree with you kelly60. I reported them as well and especially when I see them on here all the time. It is pretty sad, but that is what we have to do to keep them from posting all those short discussions. Have a nice day and I wish you the best.

Well I must be dumb, because I don't recognize a copy and paste discussion. I wouldn't even know what to look for, or how you even know. Maybe I have just been fortunate so far, and haven't come across any. Maybe just letting it go, might be the best thing. Policing doesn't get you any where, it just causes more aggravation for you. Believe me, I know.

Yes, I think you are good with what you say, I just feel like if the cheaters keep getting the money then there will be less for us and they just cheated and didn't really work for it :(
