we have atm's nowadays along with credit cards to store our money. but before, we just have a piggy bank which could be in the form of a 'pig', or other shapes that also come with different designs. thus, the term 'coin bank'. as for me, i have a sesame street coin bank. funny thing is, i opened it when it was not even half filled. hehe. i just grab it when i need coins for transportation.

Yea, i got my own "piggy bank", it's Charlie Brown :-). Usually i will put my coins in it after a whole day expense means i just keep the banknote in my wallet. But same as you i'd "ask Charlie Brown" lend me few bucks when i need for the MTR tickets :-P So i could never fill it.

We've got containers of change all over the house! My two children have four banks between them (none shaped like pigs, although one is Darth Vader) and we've each got a penny jar in the kitchen. We intend to take the boys' banks to the *real* bank when they are full and deposit the change into their respective accounts. This is supposed to help them understand things like how a little adds up over time and about saving. What I'm guessing will actually happen is that they will decide to spend that money on a treat for themselves. LOL

I do not keep a "real" piggy bank, what I did was to get a container and I will drop my small change into it whenever I have it in my pocket when I return home. I will used as much of the small change as possible when I buy things. And surprising, it is filling up, the next thing, I will do it to bring to the bank and deposit all my coins into my saving account. I think it have a few hundreds dollars in it.

I have 2 piggy banks. I keep a traditional piggy bank in my car. It's a blue plastic pig that I received from National City when I was working there. I usually put my half of my change in there whenever I go through the drive-thru or run to the gas station. The funny thing is that by keeping the piggy bank in my car it fills up fast and when my friends ride with me they always donate the change in their pockets to my piggy bank. I also have a piggy bank in my room. This piggy bank I never borrow from. It is an electronic piggy bank that keeps track of how much money is in their. I promised not to empty that bank until it is completely full and then I am going to use the money to treat myself. I put the change that I find around my house in that piggy bank and the other half of the change that I don't put in my car piggy bank. Right now the bank is half full but it is also growing quickly and I can't wait to cash it out. :)

i don't have a piggy bank. but i have a bank account and a coin sorter which automatically sorts my coins and wraps it up. so i can deposit it to the bank and there its considered as real money :). and you'll never know how much your coins might come up to.
