After a huge loss at such a big stage like WC,don't you think Dravid should have himself resigned from captaincy.Would he be able to gain confidence from his team mates who have seen such a disaster under his leadership. Don't you think there has to be a new captain in order to bring new life in this team.

i dont think that terms such as confidence-building and accountability have any meaning vis-a-vis the indian cricket team. like most indian phenomana, such catastrophe gets buried under the grey carpet and are tied with a red tape and shoved at the back of the cupboard!otherwise how can you just imagine BCCI offering a consultant's post to Greg Chapell after all that he has done to and for Indian Cricket. four years back when Chapell took the reins of indian cricket,we were shown rosy pictures of india's performance at the 2007 WC, but 4yrs of Chapelldom has brought only ignominy to Indian Cricket. our selectors and administrators can think of nothing better than temporary solutions to tide over present crises. Dravid as a captain should be removed immediately coz if we are really to build a team that can have an iota of chanceof making it to any respectable round in WC 2011, we need a young captain who can shoulder the responsibility of a young team. and for that that captain has to start training from NOW! Dravid would be too old to captian Indian in 2011, he can of course stay on as a senior player whose advise would be invaluable, but nothing more!

Ofcourse dravid has to resigned for captaincy. As he failed to take quick decisions in our final debate in worldcup which we can win as we got early wickets and we are in good position.at that moment when we need a wicket and harbhajan is not working allowing him to bowl is not a wise decision. Though he played well in that match.

Though he made quite a few blunders in the world cup like insisting on including Sehwag when he was struggling for form then choosing to bat first on track that assisted bangla bowlers. But said that i still feel that captain is as good or as bad as the team he has. If the teams consistently fails to perform nobody is going to praise you for your efforts. Plus at this point we have to build a team for the future with experienced captain and young team.So that a youngster can be made vice captain and groomed as future captain of Indian cricket team. At this point both the contenders sehwag is out of form and yuvraj fitness and injury wories are there. So there aren't too many options right now.
