asked this question what was your response? How did you view it, and has your view point on this changed at all over the years? Have you never been asked? If you haven't been asked, well you are asked now. There were times when I saw the glass half empty, and times when it was half full, but I was considered a smart alec 11 year old the first time I was asked this question because I didn't respond with half empty or full, I said the glass was well balanced. Threw off the paramaters of the question since people usually ask this to see how you answer, and expect one of the other, with the half empty going towards pessimistic, and half full going towards optimistic, lol, I asked where does that put me... they responded with confused. Seems to me I wasn't confused, they were, since well they didn't know how to take my answer.

Hehe I've always said the glass was full. After all it has water and air in it at all times, no matter how much water is in the glass. Most people don't seem to like that answer because it doesn't fit with their preconcieved ideas. It seems to not be like what they want to hear :) So you aren't alone in that thinking.

LOL I liked that the glass is full, not necessarily full of water but still full. Cool answer, and I can see where people would have a hard time with your answer. I have at times when this topic comes up actually put water in a glass and asked if it was half empty or half full, since the water was about quarter of an inch from the top they would tell me it was full, not half. LOL I then said NOPE, technically to be full wouldn't it have to go all the way to the lip of the glass. I tend to find ways to debate a topic, when it comes to my friends. I kind of don't necessarily like preconcieved ideas. I like to try to come up with ideas of my own, and they may be like other people's ideas, which is fine, just not really into being told which way to think.

I know what you mean. I love to debate things so long as it's with the right people. Some though it doesn't matter what you say it turns into an arguement not a debate and I don't like that. Thanks though. I'm glad you liked the answer. I try to look at things from different view points and angels. I find some times when you do that you get an answer for things that works better then the obvious.

At first thought I always say the glass is half full. I have always been an insurable optimist and try to remain as optimistic as I can through everything life throws at me.

That's an interesting answer! I'd say I'm a glass is half full type. I generally see the positive in everything. I'd rather be happy than sad.
