Why do women try to change men?

I'm in a relationship with a guy i love as are many of my friends, but i hate the way they pick at there boyfriends and try to change the little things about the. I love my boyfriend just the way he is, no he isn't perfect but neither am i! I don't feel compelled to stop him wearing a shirt i don't like or make him have his hair cut. It's just so stupid!

Well I admit I am guilty of trying to change my mate. It's not little things though. He lets people take advantage of him and I've been trying to get him to stop doing that. He also doesn't have a lot of self-confidence and so I try to change that by telling him all the good things about him and everything I love about him. So yes there are things I try to change about him, but it's only because I love him and I want him to feel better about himself. I want him to do things that make him happy instead of trying to always do things for other people when they don't even appreciate the stuff he does to help them.
