Have you ever done this? White Water Rafting? did you have to be cajoled into it or were you really wanting to go?
Did you go with a large group of friends? was it rough riding? was it exhilarating? did your adrenaline rush as fast as the water?Where did you go, did you have a toured trip? what were the fees like? would you do it again? if so, would you go to the same place as before or would you try a different location? If you have not been, is it something that you would like to try?

LOL I am afraid of water. We live beside Elk River and they have white water rafting here. I can sit on my front porch and watch them go downstream. Personally I dont see the thrill of it but what can I say, if you are afraid of water, you wouldnt see the thrill. lOL

HI modesta!!!
We went rafting on the river yesterday. We entered in a River Raft Race with the Girl Scouts. We had to make our own rafts from bamboo and inner tubes. Ours broke a bamboo pole and we ended up tubing instead of rafting, but it was great and I can't wait to do it again!!
We have 2 rivers near-by. The one we went on is the calmer of the two and was really a lot of fun without being too hard for the younger girls. ( They had to be 6th grade or older)
I really miss it as I use to go a lot, but have not been in years. I think I need to work on getting more river time in!

I've never been white water rafter rafting, although I would love to try it. I take my trips down the river nearby, but there is no white water here, only an occasional area where the water is a bit faster than the rest. Our trips are quite and peaceful as opposed to the excitement of the white water trips.
My daughter went on white water rafting trip with her church group quite a few years ago though. I don't remember what the fees were, but we only had to pay a portion since it was a church sponsored trip and they got group rates. I know that they had a great time.

I would never give our river trips up in exchange for the white water rafting. I enjoy our peaceful canoe or tubing trips too much. We take several trips down the river every summer, and I would not trade that for anything. I think I might like to try the white water rafting once too though. It sounds like it could be fun, and I bet my boys would really like it.

I'm not an expert swimmer and never would I want to be drowned so I just could not believe that I accepted the challenge to go white water rafting. Of course with my husband and group of friends we tried this leisure sport. It could be dangerous I said to myself but how can I turn my back when the whole group was all excited. How could I be a killjoy at that moment when everybody was thrilled to go navigating. Oh my goodness! It was one exhilarating experience of a lifetime. I almost cried at one point but there was so much fun amidst the turbulent waves. The rapids were tough but we carried through. It was very exciting but I will never try again. Ha!ha!ha!
