Do you ever eat salads I do I love them, and they are generally easy to make and serve. I prefer salads that are served as a meal. Like Clubhouse Salad, Taco Salad Chicken/ shrimp Caesar Salad, Pasta Caesar Salad. I add extras as well hard cooked egg, chicken ham or tuna . Usually I start with a green salad base , then add pasta, mixed vegetables, meat , and dressing. When i am on my low card diet I make sandwiches our of lettuce rather than bread. So I can have tuna, chicken or egg salad sandwiches or roll ups. It is easy fresh and tasty. as well as being better for you. I would love to hear if you have a special salad you make for yourself or family

I tend to eat salads more in the Summer time where the salad ingredients are more fresher and readily grown. However when I return from the gym I do have a healthy protein enriched salad consisting of tuna, cucumber, sweetcorn, red peppers and walnuts with grated cheese mixed in, it's delicious and very good for body building.

I love salad, especially in warm weather. My favorite salad is with grilled chicken in it. Start with the usual salad base and add grilled chicken, hard boiled eggs, carrots, red cabbage and any other veggies that you like and top with a honey mustard dressing. Delicious! I might make one for dinner!!

I love salads also. Have you noticed that they taste much better when out than if made at home? What's up with that? Anyways, I love to make grilled chicken salad or steak salad for my family. Usually if we have chicken or steak one night, I will cook up extra and throw it on salads for the following nights dinner.

Yes if you are trying to cut calories it is a great way to have a sandwich that is about 190 calories less than the bread one. the only thing I can't see is a Pb&j sand made with lettuce, I also use a variety of greens spinach is one I am very fond of and the other is Auriga, fabulous. My granddaughter loves salads as well when we go out to Wendy's she always has a salad, she would sooner eat Cesar salad than any thing.

SALADS!! Yuck!! I used to hate eating "rabbit food" till recently. being as my dad is ill the whole family's on a low sodium low cholesterol diet. So now I've learned to like "rabbit food" to a point. I've also learned to add many different things to it to make it more appetizing to myself. Chefs salds are my fave with a vinnegrtte dressing only. I'll be trying the pasta added in the very near future also. Haven't done that one yet. It's been less than a week on this diet & I think I'm having salt withdrawls. Hahahaha! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

salads in india are not that common . wha we eat is calle dthe 'RAITA' which is a mixture of cucumber, tomato, onions all added in yoghurt , with a biot of salt. its the best sald one can have here. other than the regular plain tomato, cheese onion salad.. salads are the best way to keep one healthy. i am on regular salads and have dropped my wieght by 4 kg....

Thank you It is very interesting to see how other countries eat and what they eat, I have had the pleasure of eating the mixture of cucumbers and onions and home made yogurt, I was invited to lunch at one of the ladies we did volunteer work with, We have a large population of East Indian Canadians Living in Abbotsford and area.I have had the opportunity to taste several dishes, and they were very good . I particularly admire the ability to cook everything fresh and from scratch, every day. There is a lot of work involved but because the East Indian community , keep and practice their culture it is very simple for them.

Whichever way you take them, salads are always good. Like they are good for health, easy to prepare and nice to eat. The salads are rich in fibres and thus help clean ur bowels. Thus you can treat constipation with them. Salads also help reduce you your weight. So I always eat salds. I usually eat salads with my food and then after taking my meals. This helps me and my family keep digestion in perfect form.

Sometimes I do eat a salad, but not all to frequent. It also totally depends on what we eat at home mainly as in a lot of occasions I am not the one doing the cooking and such, just being away from home all day long nearly and coming home as the evening starts. Perhaps if I would have more time I would eat more salads, but guess we'll see that later in life.

We live in a hot country, so we eat salads almost every day and we love them! I start off with a lettuce base, but I buy the fancy mixed lettuce which has different coloured leaves, and it makes the salad more appealing. I just throw in whatever I have in the fridge - tomatoes, celery, raw mushrooms, shallots, capsicum, pine nuts, sometimes chick peas, and a little cubed cheese. Delicious. Making sandwiches out of lettuce leaves instead of bread is something I haven't tried, so thanks for the tip Robin.

Salad Pic - Nice salad
Hi Robin, I make it near compulsory that we eat salad atleast 4-5 times a week lol, Mostly green salads and seafood salad: This is our tipical seafood salad: 2 cups shrimps 2 cups surimi/crab meat 2 cups chopped muscle 1 cup tuna(optional) 1 cup Chopped/Diced tomato 1 grated carrot 1/2 cup chopped spring onions salt n pepper 1/2 cup Mayo 1/2 cup tomato sauce/ketchup Salt n pepper Line a sizable salad bowl with fresh fancy lettuce leaves, you may have to double up with the lining, add all your seafood, carrot, tomato and spring onion into the bowl. In a cup add ketchup and mayo together and mix it well, it should look a orangey peach colour, when mixed well pour it all over the salad mix and tossed until everything is coated in the dressing, lastly add salt n pepper if you like. Keep chilled until ready to eat. Its really nice and tasty...
