Even the worst of cooks have at least one dish that they do really well. What is it and why? My specialty dish is lasagna, whenever I am making it my friends are there at my door waiting for a sample. What is your special dish, who likes it and why is it so special.

Italian foods for the most part are always delicious and easy. One of my specialty dishes that everyone is in agreement about is my Baked Mostaccioli dish. It is easy to make for those who love cooking and is so good. Also they love my No Bake Cookies. Here is a recipe for the Baked Mostaccioli Ingredients: 8 ounces Mostaccioli 1-1/2 pounds ground beef 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped green pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 1-28 ounce can of tomatoes, cut up 1- 8 ounce can of tomato sauce 1-6 ounce can of tomato paste 1-4 ounce can mushrooms stems and pieces 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon of sugar 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1 large bay leaf 1 bag of Mozzarella cheese 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese ----------------------------------------------------- Cook Mostaccioli in a large amount of boiling salted water till just tender(about 14 minutes times vary)drain. Set aside. In a large saucepan cook groud beef, onions, garlic, green peppers, till meat is browned and vegetables are tender.Drain of fat. Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, undrained mushrooms, tomato paste, water, salt, pepper, sugar, basil, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat. Cover; and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf, stir in Mostaccioli. Turn half of the mixture into a 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Layer with half the Mozzarella cheese and sprinkle with parmesan. Top with the remaining mixture. Cover with parmesan cheese and cover pan with foil. Bake in a 350* oven for about 35 minutes or till heated through. Remove foil. Sprinkle with remaining Mozzarella cheese and bak for 5 minures more. Let stand before serving for 5-10 minutes makes 8-12 serving depending on how you cut it. They are the simple ways to this and that is use a really good pasta sauce in the meat mixture. But I think the bay leaf is what gives it the best flavor so if you have one plop it in. This is very easy to prepare you can even do it in a crock pot on low for a fews hours and add cheese half hour before serving and have what I call Sloppy Mostaccioli. it is good. I hope that everyone will atleast try it once. My 8 year old niece made it so I know with a little guidence you can to.(for those who don't cook).

Every time there is an occassion at work, or a potluck dinner with friends, they ask me to bring my stuffed mushrooms. I'm always amazed, because they are just SO simple to make that I figure everyone could easily duplicate them. But I think my coworkers and close friends were so surprised the first time I offered the mushrooms and let them know I made up the recipe, that they were mesmerized somehow by the fact that I could cook at all, lol! I think they're yummy, and I'm happy to prepare them anytime... the cudos are just gravy, y'know?

All I do is separate cap from stem and wash. Then chop and saute the stems in butter with chopped scallions, chopped artichoke hearts, rosemary, thyme, and Italian bread crumbs. Then stuff that into the caps, put them into a buttered glass baking dish and bake for about 10 minutes at 350. Then smother them with parmesan cheese and drizzle zesty Italian dressing over all and broil for a few minutes. So, the caps aren't even really cooked at all. But they are yummy!

Hi Winterose, did you receive my mail on marketing by Ewen Chia? Now back to your discussion. I personally do not have any. To speak about my wife cooking, she is a fantastic cook, she enjoys cooking and she does have two closely guarded recipes. One is fried chicken, it is far better then the KFC, In fact many have confirmed that. (she does solely for friend and family.) The other dish is, what we call locally “Briyani” She does it with noodles and chicken or mutton. This is a killer dish of hers. My mouth is watering now.

I know how to cook and I can cook different dishes but I guess my specialty is Pork Adobo because when my friends tasted it, they like it. For dessert, I think my specialty is leche flan (custard cake). It's special for me coz it was my mom who taught me how to do it and that I learned to make it when I was very young. I think I was 7 then. And they like my custard cake...that's it.

Like you, my lasagne is pretty good. Everyone loves it, and so simple to make. I also make a great potato bake. I always get asked to make it, especially for bbqs. I like making soups as well. I have actually just made a pumpkin soup today, and had some for lunch. It was good. There is a lot i like cooking. Steak dianne is good too.

I'd have to say my Pastitsio and my rum cakes are what keep my friends and family talking to me. I can't attend any family reunions unless I am armed with a rum cake!

My specialty is definitely either tilapia with rice or chocolate chip cookies. I don't know why it's those two. Maybe I've just had enough practice with them? But this one time, I made cookies for the boy I liked to thank him for something, and there was a plastic bag with toothpaste in it buried under the cookies. Then, when I ate one (I was hungry), it tasted like one of those yummy girl scout cookies. I still consider it one of my greatest cooking achievements.
