Do you feel that there is a serious lack of communication problem at your job? Does management always keep you informed of important information about the company or job opportunities? Does it bother you to be the last one to find out about things going on within the company?

The lack of communication at my last job was atrocious. It was one of the many reasons why I am not longer employed there. Our branch was always the last to know, the last to receive help, the last in repairs, etc. It made it difficult to work there. Glad that I am on to newer ventures.

I am sure many other companies have lost good employees like you because they failed to communicate important info about what is going on at work. There are some things that I feel companies should let their employees know about. I have left jobs in the past because of lack of communication and other reasons.

I have not been in the working force for many years now. I also have never experienced what you asked when I did, nor does my husband. I don't think I would be happy in an invironment like that. What about you?

I think in our company there is pretty compitent communication. I usually can correspond with people in different departments and if am not able can contact my supervisor who will then relay the message;)+

Well, that is definetly a problem if no one communicates with everyone else. So far, in my work life things always went smoothly and the manger always has the courage to talk to me and tell me what's going on.

I think larger companies tend to be better at communicating simply because they often use the methods put in place specified for just that. For instance, company wide voice mails, e-mails and newsletters. Smaller companies tend to rely on the "by word of mouth" system or meetings which sometimes people can't get to or aren't around to attend.

There was only one time I got upset about being the last to know. But now I expect to be the last one to know.
