yeah it's true.... DotA is really a battle of the mind, in playing dota your not just gonna kill the other hero you have to strategize, prepare a plan, you also have to know your opponent, you must know the opponent's strenght and weaknesses and you must equip your hero the right gear and always be ready for the battle... in DotA the fastest thinker always wins
