Ok i have written this topic a few months ago and i didn't get that many responses and i'm hoping for more this time around. I Love to read. I'm always and forever cought with my head in a book. I think that i can read a good 300 page book in about 3 to 4 days. Once I get cought up in it forget it where i am and i can't seem to put the book down until i've finished it. Is anyone else like this? If so please feel free to let me know what type of books you like to read. I'm more of the midevil and romance type of person myself but if the book looks good then i will pick it up and read it.

It depends what you could call reading. Physical reading, I hate it. I rarely read anything. When I do, I am sorry for it because I'll get a headache. Audiobooks? I love them! I "read" a ton of audiobooks. I used to have my computer read a lot of books too before I found out about audiobooks. It would take me about a month to physically read a 100 to 200 page book (probably longer, one month if I'm trying really hard). On audio, I can listen to an 18 CD long book in a week if I really like it, or I'll stretch it out. But either way, I finish much faster. Usually if I read audio, I'll go for more variety. Science fiction, history, memoirs, etc. If I read physically, I'll go for encyclopedias and fact books, nonfiction only, so that I'm at least actually learning something.

Audio books count. I know alot of people who can't read at all because it's a phiscal handycap so they count. I have a ton of encylopedias here at my house but they only get used when they are needed. More by the kids for school then anything else. I know that the audio books cost a little more money but they are just as cool as readying the regular books. I started readying the bible one time because i ran out of books to read and not only that but i was in the process of getting married. It helped ease my mine from all of the stress that i had. Very interesting views.

Audiobooks seem to cost 3 times as much it seems. I try to rent them if I can, instead of buying them. I tried reading the Bible once, but I gave up. I couldn't understand any of it, and I'm not religious anyway so from a book standpoint, it wasn't keeping my attention. Although, I was trying to read it in actual book form.

Yes audio books are 3 times more expensive but i think that they have them at the local library. I know my mother-in-law goes to the one near her house and gets all types of romance novels out of the library. I think that you can barrow the audio ones as well.

I still have my favorite books from when I was little. I still reread my favorite children's books around Christmas time. I used to love the Judy Blume and the Beverly Clearly books. Ramona books always made me so happy! My other all-time favorites include Anne of Green Gables, Little Women, Pride and Prejudice, and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Currently I'm reading a lot of C.S. Lewis. Some of his works on religion and philosophy are amazing. The Great Divorce (about the nature of heaven and hell) is a must-read. I'm also in the process of rereading the Narnia Chronices.

I've got the Chronicels of Narnia but after i watched the movie for some reason i can't seem to get into the book. I have no idea why i love to ready books like this. It just wouldn't hold my interest after the first chapter. I read books all the time with my children. They love to read.

Of course I like to read. Lost all my books in the housefire recently though. Will have to slowly find them and buy them again. Hope I will have a little more time to read now that I will be stuck in the city. Wish me luck. Happy Reading.
