Its really a No-NO in the family. my brother used to go to our neighbors house and learning mahjong during highschool..dad scolded him for doing that, mom said she doesnt want to learn how to play that considering its effects. thats why i only know how to play solitaire using game cards, aside from that, i know a little only on poker and the game we call here in the Philippines 41 and pairs. What about you? do you let your kids learn how to pay game card or start gambling? do you tolerate things like that?

Playing cards is different from gambling,my hubby likes to play cards but not infront of kids and he doesnot like his kids do the same as he thinks it is an bad habbit and never leaves you so easily and at the same time he hates gambling and we never want our kid to practice it.

my father always tell me, you get lots of freinds when you win during gambling, but no one knows you if you loose...which is sad..

Learning gambling is one thing. playing regular cards is another story, as far as i know majon isnt gambling.many familys have a game night and some play cards but it dosnt have anything to do with gambling.I would not want my children to learn gambling either but playing games like uno and phase ten have nothing to do with gambling.

there are other card games that doesnt require you to put out money though...but if theres already money involved and getting addicted to it is also another sotry, i guess.
