Does anyone know the bunny in the hole rhyme? or other rhymes that have helped teach your child to tie their own shoe laces? I was never taught it with a song/rhyme, but I have heard others talk about the "bunny in the hole rhyme" which I would like to teach my son. If you have another suggestion, please share. Thanks in advance!

i know what you're talking about too.. but i can't remember what rhyme is it.. but i think if you want your song to tie shoe lace.. you can teach them manually right? using rhyme just to add effect on it.. and .. yes.. it's better than without rhyme.. anyway.. how old is your children? last time my grandfather taught me manually.. and i have no comment about it..haha.. if your children is too lazy to tie shoe lace.. you can get those shoe without lace.. the one that will stick whenever you try to wear it.. have you heard of it? well.. i hope this helps ={

My son will be 5 in July. He has those valcro (sp?) shoes and sneakers with shoelaces, and jandals and gumboots. I was reading some information given from his new school and it mentioned something about teaching your child how to tie his shoe laces - I remembered someone saying there was a rhyme about a bunny so I thought I would ask, but THANKS for you comments charlestchan :)

I know what you're talking about but am not sure what the rhyme is. Maybe I can add to it and help jog someone else's memory as to how it actually goes. I know it starts with making a tree (the first loop), then the bunny (the other lace) runs around the tree and jumps into the hole. I don't remember what comes next though but I guess it must have something to do with the bunny getting bigger or something. I know that's not much help to you but maybe it will help the next person that reads this!
