I have read this sentence and have a simple question about the logic. Why does it seem when we are speed reading we can comprehend the gist of the conversation but when we actually carefully read a sentence,we recognize spelling errors so quick?Just a question....

When we tire, our concentration ability really suffers and we visually struggle. This affects everything we do.I often wonder if this is why some children do not like to read or fight reading so much?

With me I am unable to to recognize spelling errors, I also have trouble reading a book straight on. I usually read it at an angle or on its side. This way it is easier on the eyes. thanks for the post

This is not the first time I have seen this....I feel that is an extraordinary way to see if one's brain is functioning normally. It would seem that if there were an anomaly somewhere in the vortex it would be almost impossible to read. I am sure that to some, especially slow readers, it would probably seem like Greek or Chinese. Perhaps the secret to being able to read this passage is more on concentration than ability. I too had this earmarked for a discussion topic but you beat me to it.

i look at the shuffled words and think what sort of code I can make so I can send love not to my hun in secrecy :) But I guess if you end up taking out the vowels out of word you might be able to read them awell. thanks for the post

I agree partly. Why only partly? For I believe that this is true only to those who can read and understand english. For the non-english speaking people, the paragraph doesn't make sense at all.

i actually stumbled on something like this before so its not new to me. anyway, yeah its amazing how our brains recognizes the words we are reading eventhough the letters are jumbled. you know, i know people who have trouble reading something like this. when i was in highschool my teacher conducted an reading experiment, like the one you posted and have the students read them. its a pity for some students because they couldnt make out the what they were reading. this students who have trouble reading them are those who doesnt like to read or those people who dont have a great knowledge on the english vocabulary.
