The British Airways London Eye, or Millenium Wheel, is the world's tallest observation wheel at 135 metres, almost 443 feet high. Standing on the banks of the River Thames it offers unrivalled views over London; its capsule passengers being able to see up to 40 kilometres, almost 25 miles, in all directions, in complete comfort and safety. Since opening at the turn of the century, the London Eye has become an iconic landmark, with a status that can be compared to Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Eros and the Tower of London. A source of pride for the whole country as well as the capital, the London Eye is the most distinctive addition this century to the world's greatest city, loved by Britons and tourists alike and visited by over 3.5 million people a year; on average, 10,000 a day. You can even take a champagne flight on the London Eye, if you wish, but it costs extra. In fact, it costs just over double the normal price of £14.50 for an adult flight. The wheel carries 32 sealed and air-conditioned passenger capsules attached to its external circumference and one revolution takes about 30 minutes. If you want to take an aerial view of London, then this is the place to go. The Wheel moves very slowly, so it's comfortable to ride in. Fancy a flight???

How I envy you to have the world’s tallest, 135 m high Millenium Wheel in your country. My country has also launched a Ferris Wheel, Eye On Malaysia in Jan this year but the height of it is only 60 m yet it has attracted many visitors to get the wonderful ride that they have never experienced before. Of course it will be much more trilling to have a ride on the giant Millenium Wheel in your country lol.

I don't know whether it would be more thrilling to take a flight on the London Eye. I think each country's attractions have their own charm and validity. Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.

I quite like Madame Tussaud's. Quite frankly, there are so many things to see or visit in London that it would take you a very long holiday to investigate everything. Still, I'm glad you enjoyed your visits. Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.

London Eye - The London Eye by night, sunset even!
I haven't yet been on the London Eye yet, and am not sure I'm that keen to. I am not that great a fan of heights and many friends who have been have sent me photos and although they look fantastic they kind of give me the jitters at the thought of being up so high in a glass case! Have you been yourself darkwing hun? Did you enjoy it? Did you get a buzz from being up so high?

I haven't been on there myself. I was a bit apprehensive about it too but my son has, and he says you don't even feel the movement much and the capsules are all air conditioned. I guess if you don'tlook down, it's ok! ha ha ha Thank you for your response and Brightest Blessings.
