My husbands like salads very much and want salads with every meal. Its easy to prepare a salad but i am just wondering if its o.k to eat raw food so often. Plz let me know if its not healthy or if it has some other effects.

Salads are very healthy and don't lose any of their nutritious value the way they do when they are cooked so they are in fact better for you to eat . If your husband enjoys a salad with his meals then I wouldn't worry about this in the least . We need to get in so many fruits and vegetables in the run of a day in order to meet what we are supposed out of our food groups and as long as one is not overdoing it then it is definitley a healthy way to eat . As with anyhting in life if you over eat it then it could become unhealthy as nothing in life is good for you if you make a pig of yourself but eathing it in moderation with your meals would be cause to worry :)

Thank you for your response. I am more relaxed now. I will make sure he just has salads twice a day along with his meal.

like the person above stated..as long as its in moderation and he is eating other foods with it. "roughage" is good for the body. he is getting protein and other nutrients from the main part of the dish, so a side salad is perfectly fine.
