Can we think of an immortal world?

i suppose it is possible. but then society as a whole would become stagnant. over-population would happen very quickly and then birth restriction would be required to maintain the growth. and that means no "new" minds will enter our world and we will have lost their new ideas, creations, inventions..etc. the world would quickly become very dull in my opinion.
