how's your faith?

i'm not a religious person you know..but i believe that GOD exist and that there is a greater power that we can't see and that is our GOD..i know i've been a bad christian because it's been a long time since i've gone to the church for a mass..and i also don't pray a lot..i do sometimes but only when i feel like it..it seems that it's hard for me to talk to HIM because i feel like i don't deserve HIS attention and blessings..i feel like i owe him a lot and i haven't done anything to give him back what HE's suppose to have and that is my faith in action..i know that it's not enough to just pray and go to church..i know that HE expects a lot from us that we should be able to serve HIM..And that's what i can't give HIM..i don't know maybe because there's a lot of stuff going on around me that i don't know which to start first..but i do hope that i'll be a better christian..so i'm planning to re-examine my life and my faith..and how would i be a better person..so wish me luck!

My faith has never existed when it comes to a god or any other form of religion. It's not really my thing. I'm not religious at all and also have never seen as significant proof for any religion to be a valid existence.
Instead I tend to have faith in myself, and some way I have a faith in certain groups of humanity.

Read Bible & try to know Jesus Christ, then u will understand there is God, who loves you.

If I need to read a book to know who loves me, then there's no need. Or I could just read any random book, like LOTR at least is fun to begin with already. Doesn't make me believe any of it is actually true though.
I have read some parts from the bible, some parts from the quran and some stuff from books from other religions but the fairy tales written in them don't really get to me. To me it just appears as one big load of crap, and personally I have a hard time understanding sometimes on how someone can believe that sort of stuff.

Hi Akinad. Well i understand that u cant serve god. But u must understand that sitting in front of god or chanting prayers is not serving the lord. To serve God u need to do good things, like helping the needy, thinking good about people, loving animals and humans, not harming any form of life. Be creative and not destructive. He is ur father so there is nothing you owe. Just be good soul and surely God shall bless you. I have felt the same thing. Never look at God only as God, but try to be friends with God, realise the divine power, talk to him in your own style. Be friendly with God and follow the rest as i told and see the improvement in ur life.
God loves you.

Ya God is not in temples or in stone idols. God is in our hearts. When we respect ourselves, when we respect humankind, when we respect poverty, when we respect people with disability then we indirectly respect God because God has only created the world and no one can point out God's ultimate creations. Everything in this worlds comes with a reason. So we have to think about the reason. Reason clarifies what is the problem with your thinking or others thinking.

I'm not a religious person and I believe god and other creatures exist in the world.
I have never gone to a church in more than 20 years.Sometimes I'm so afraid that i cant go in a church. I dont do any criminal things.I think it is a holy place. But some reports on tv or newspaper say that religion is holy itself, but some politicians profane the name of God.
I dont want to be a member of them, so I'm not a religious person and believe god.
Ofen, I re-examine my life and my faith. Then I have a good mood .

the conception about god u uphold is enough for the purpose by which HE has been propitiated.
if you do not go to church,mosque,temple etc.man made places u must not think god will remain aversive to u or he will be angry . church going means u are entering a system which trains u as per religious discipline to maintain a decent life style in the name of god .

My faith is also on the verge of falling out. I haven't gone to the church lately and have no fellowship whatever with my fellow Christian. One thing that I hold though is my communication with God. I know sometimes I will be back with Him doing the things He wanted me to do. I know it will be hard for me but I think it is the way it should be and thats where I could find the life and peace that I'm looking for. I can see that you have the desire in your heart to look and follow God. Maybe all you have to do is to look for the reason or things that holding you in throughly opening your life to Him. Oh my dear friend, I really understand your situation. I feel am with you to really encourage you. When I was reading your discussion, I felt it so much, most especially that you know God, that going to church alone and praying doesn't make one please God, and above all, that you know you owe Him a lot and haven't done anything to pay Him back. I really want to let you know that God understands your situation, but you just have to take the first step and He'l support you. I am not a big church person or anything but I do believe in God and the higher power...I used to doubt alot, but after 4 years of infertility and then bam it happend for us all of a sudden, not once but two times and I have 2 beautiful, healthy children...I do know that there is a higher power

i believe in GOD... i believe He has the supreme power and i believe He is merciful and righteous.. has an unconditional love.. faith is not knowing GOD can do it coz nothing is impossible with Him.. faith is knowing tha GOD will do it for us.....amen..

but i do not really believe in religion..
which means i am a pagan..
when you believe in doing something, it will work out as you want it to be..
so just have faith as the saying goes .. .a little faith brings miracles.

i know , all of us are bad, even i used to feel the same thing, that i dont desrve to talk to him, coz i am coverd with sin, but just as i was going through, i really strted to have truobles and now, i know where to get help from, you have to be with god, the first thing you do is just go on and pray, then read the bible, just for few minutes say, just 5 mins, and do it daily for that time, you will surely find away out and better solutions for your answers and also start feeling worthy .........coz as i said, no 1 is sinless.just approach him.and you will c the difference!
