How long have your parents been married?

It's my parents' 30th wedding anniversary today. It's such a wonderful feeling my parents are still together despite of all the hardships they went through with their relationship. I remember those tough times when we were still young, Mom almost filed a divorce because of my Dad's being a womanizer. Since the time Dad joined a religious organization, we were then able to see his changes little by little each day. And we always thank God for hearing our prayers. We've always wanted Dad to learn from his mistakes. As their children, of course, we don't want them to end their relationship that's why we always hoped and prayed. Right now, my siblings and I don't feel anything that Dad's hiding something from us anymore. And I always thank God for the changes my Dad showed us. He became a more loving husband and father to us. We still do pray that he's not gonna be tempted with other women anymore. Wishing them many many more years together and we are all looking forward to seeing them saying their vows again on their golden anniversary. :) How about you? How long have your parents been married? :)

My father is a widow. if mom was still alive they'd been married 55 years. I have now been married 29 years and it's a great relationship. We have been together for 33 years total though having lived together 4 years first. Of 4 children in my family I am the only one not to have divorced nor married more than once. My sister was married once and now divorced. My older brother married 3 times. (so far) My younger brother has been married twice now divorced. And my half brother has been married 3 times as well. So I guess I'm doing something right here. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I definitely would like to say you are so amazing Grandpa BOb! It's because it's only one in a million that you belong to those married couples who are happily married despite of all the odds with your relationships as couples. You're not only doing something....You're truly amazing! :) Thanks for the reply. :)

Thanks for the great compliment. My wife and I have been through some VERY rough situations nearly destroying this marriage. But we have persevered through it all and still happily married to this day. It came close to divorce a few times but our love for each other pulled it back to a superb bond. Thanks again. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

my parents have been maried for 23 years already and i'm 22 years old.. i'm a honeymoon baby. and i can say that they are still happily married. i'm not really sure how they do it. some people would sometimes think that they're newly weds because of their sweetness. it sometimes gross us out, but we're really lucky that our parents are like this instead of fighting..

i am happy for you. we are coming from a country wherein divorce is not recognized or accepted. my parents are married for 34 years, and i think the secret for a long relationship is the trust, learning to accept each other for what they are, the shortcomings, the excessess, the true individual for what they are.
