Missing High School

This may sound like the nerdiest thing in the world but....I really miss band and color guard lol. Yes I was a band geek in high school. I loved it. I made a lot of my best friends there. They are friends who I am proud to say I'm still friends with today almost 8 years later. Man it's hard to believe it's been that long. Just last summer I was hanging out at the park with my daughter and this park was right next to the high school. The band was out there on the field practicing and it brought back so many memories. I just wanted to go out on the field pick up a flag and march with them. How nerdy is that?? Ok I'm done with my nerdy story now lol.

Right now I am in High School and I can say that the first 2 1/2 years have been really terrible. Personally, my High School years sucked bad and I don't want to go into detail. Now I'm a junior and school is about to end in 3 weeks and I can't wait! I used to have a very pessimistic view of High School and now things are changing for the better. If you stop and think about it, High School is really not that bad. Sure there are hardships that come along like the finals, AP exams, SATs, peer pressure, an the rest of the roller coaster. I think High School is alright, but unfortunately I didn't always have that Mindset.

I miss those days too. I didn't have to worry about nothing those days, I didn't have bills and a child to take care of. Now I'm an adult with responsibilites. I'm hanging with my friends, some of them has passed away, and the rest of them moved far away. Back in high school I use to live life to the fullest, and now I don't have freedom. Those were the good old days.
