Stupid Clothing Fads?

I hate to sound stupid but what are Uggs? The thing I hate is baseball caps. Everyone is wearing them and they are just so boring. Oh they have these funny sayings on them and all but I'm sick of all the guys wearing them. Underwear last time I checked was supposed to be hidden under your clothes thus UNDERwear! I hate the pants falling down and punks with there underwear showing. How can this be attractive? Then there are the young women who bend over in their low rise jeans and their thong is showing. The thong thing may just be jealousy on my part since if I wore one it would take awhile to find it again!

Hi,breepeace, I agree with you.Some fashion cloth nowadays seems really rediculous. They only fit very skinny women. Most of people just cann't put them on! And I don't like the clothes are too sexy or too tight? Why this world becoming so sexy? Grace is not popular any more? I don't like this.

you see I always disagreed that Skinny Jeans only looked good on skinny girls. it makes their legs look like twigs. they look much better on girls with more shapely toned legs with a bit of muscle on them I don't like those smock tops that make everyone look pregnant. or anything shapeless really. I like clothes that nip in at the waist and give a nice hourglass figure.

oh, and CROCs! how blimmin ugly are they! fine for the beach, but I've seen people wearing them with smart clothes.

day-glo 80's clothes.whee,i wanna look like a road marker! LOL they were too bright,just obnoxious.i never saw the appeal of them.and it was even worse when people added legwarmers to the outfit.

Personallly I like the capri pants and the short jackets, but the short skirts ,the short shorts,and yes the skinny jeans are just awful. I went to an amusement park one year and I could have screamed , every where I turned I saw nothing but little girls trying to be grown with these ridiculously short shorts on and all I could think about was where were these kids parents. I mean really they are even making them for the babies too. I purchased some shorts for my daughter who mind you is only 2 years old and the shorts were majorly short. I was upset at how short those shorts were, I mean why would you make those for a toddler? Really ,there are enough crazies and perverts out here now why would any fashion industry subject babies to this maddness!

well its your own opinion! i do like them all! i mean the fashion of today! its just a revival style i guess from the sixties..the way i see it its cool..but also depending on who wears them..if you think you dont look good on such things then dont wear it, coz thats what i do,, i like seeing them but if i wear those then i have to think twice if i look good on it too!

I feel the same way that you do about most of those items. Who in the heck decides what is a "good" fad and what is a bad one, anyway?? I hate those low rise jeans that some women seem to love so much. Especially when they sit down and I can see their underwear, or can tell that they aren't wearing any, which is more info than I want!! I don't know which is worse, heavier women who wear them and don't appear to notice they don't look good (pushes their rolls over the top, shows underwear, whatever) and young teens that wear them and wear them to small!

i dont think skinny pants look stupid. if you have bigger legs you're right you should wear it. but you shouldnt hate it either. the only thing i think looks dumb is if you wear everything in one color.

Just about every thing is fashion right now is a clothing fad, i think the UK has gone clothing fad (and just fad in general) mad right now!!! Where do i start? The fashion for wearing footless tights and leggins (with little else!), those horrible smocks that make anyone above a (UK) size 10 look like a tent, the garish, 80's day-glo colours that make people look ill, maxi-dresses, high waisted trousers (i mean ones with Simon Cowel type waists!), and much more! It's a wonder i can find anything 'normal' and don't end up just walking around naked. I'd probably look better than wearing some of those horrible clothes!

I think that the slouch and grunge looks were awful! A very wise woman once told me concerning fashion-"You don't follow the trends, you set them." If you wear what makes you look and feel great, you'll always be in style.

I think the winning decade for stupid looking clothes was the 80's. I hated everything then, the shoulder pads, the jeans that looked worn out before you bought them, leg warmers, those jackets with the sleeves that only went down to your elbows,stirrup pants, and many more things I can't remember.

I've never understood why some of these crazy fashions make it into the stores and into poeple's closets.
