Oh, that sounds good. I went to an open air festival today and got some hot, honey roasted cashews so I am in the mood for some more nuts. It always seems to work like that, I forget all about sometihng, but then once I have some I start craving it again. Your recipe looks like a winner!

Good for you. I make my Pecan pies from Pinto Beans these days. You cannot tell the difference in the beans and the pecans. I promise. LOL I love good pecan pie but it is so rich. ...not to mention fatening. LOL Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipe with us.

Congrats on making your first pecan pie! It is a very easy pie, isn't it? I'm always amazed when people buy them from the store. They taste much better made at home, plus they don't have any weird chemical-sounding ingredients. Your recipe sounds very good, a lot like mine. Sweet and crunchy on top but soft in the middle. YUM :)

Thanks for the idea, I eat pecan nuts almost every day to get the good oils in them so I think I would rather add the nuts to the cake after baking to keep the oils non heated. I often put some chocolate on the cakes while it is still hot and after melting and spreading it, it is easy to put on some nuts on it.

Pecan pie is one of my favorites. Oh heck, I guess that any pie is my favorite. You should try using maple syrup in place of the corn syrup. It is yummy.
