How effective is Acupuncture ?

Has anyone ever had acupuncture done before ? How effective is it ? What does it help with ? Can children have this done as well ? Does it normally cost to have it done in your area ?
My sister in law went to have acupuncture done the other day and said it was really interesting , they told her it would help her with stress and her friend that went with her was going so she could have more energy . When they left they had tack like things put on their ears so when they needed to relieve stess or needed more energy , all they had to do was press on the thing on their ear . The one my sister in law has looks like a mini teapot she said . I was just wondering how effective all this is and what uses is it for ?

I have been hearing alot about acupuncture lately from the medical field Drs. I guess they are having good results in some fields of study. They say it not good for just anything but for specific problems, it is supposed to be great. I would assume it costs as it is a procedure.
I personally have no interest in having my body poked with needles. That just dont sound like fun to me. LOL Did it help your sister in law and your friend? How much did it cost them??

It didn't cost them anything to have it done and you can go for the first couple of weeks every day and then after that you go once every couple of weeks , I believe was what she told me and the reason for this is when you first start going it helps more but as you get used to it you don't require it as much .
I am terrified of needles but my sister in law said you didn't feel the needles at all and that they were really small . I am considering giving it a try tomorrow just to see what it is all about but am still nervous about it .

I have heard that it is very helpful though myself have not had it done as of yet. It could be a possibility if my health does not improve soon. Some of my friends have had this done and it has worked for them. It sounds very interesting how it works and what it does. I always thought it was used for aches and pains and was to help relieve pain. I certainly could use more energy.

Yeah I have health problems also and would be really interested if I knew this would work even to help with half of them . I was told that it will help quit smoking as well and since I smoke , I figure this might help with my pressure problems . I think I am going to give it a try as everyone so far that I have spoke to only has good to say about it .

No I have not hade it done but I hear that it is a good thing to have there is like 500 different ones people say and they say there is some perty cool ones.

I have never had this done befor but I would love to go and try it out as I have heard that you can have it done to help you quite smoking and I would like to quite, I think it would be interesting to see if someting like this would really work, Im not sure is kids can go and it is free to have it done around here.

I tried acupuncture for diet, but it didn't work for me.
But i heard that acupuncture is good for your health and blood circulation. My cousin ( he is 8 years old) got some allergic and my aunt give him acupuncture treatment, after finish his treatment his allergic was gone too.
And i heard that acupuncture is good for your face too, make you more fresh and young, but really painful i guess.

There are several type of acupuncture. The one I have been using is the magnetic acupuncture that we can do it ourselves. Basically it is done by have north pole and south pole of the magnet. The booklet will tell where to put the pressure of the magnet to the body that we have pain. Pretty effective. I had bought it from China during my vacation.
