I got on this morning everything was fine I have done all my friends discusion then wham all my points are back where it started from this morning. I started from 1770 and it went to 1800 and now its back to 1770 again so what happened? what did I do wrong? All I did was to my friends discussions. I feel sad and want to stop for awhile after all that work for nothing so I wasted my day today! I thought I'll let you guys know but I can't figure out what happened? Is it a glitch? Has this happened to you? I don't feel that I have done anything wrong all I did was to reposed my friends discusions. I don't know if writing mylot would do any good or not but right now I feel down and thanks for reading this.

It may not have been anything you did this morning. Mylot goes through at this time in particular to clean out discussions that do not meet the guidelines.
Even if all you do is answer your friends' discussion those can still be deleted. If a friend makes a discussion that violates the guidelines and you respond yes you get the point then but if mylot deletes that discussion you lose that point again.
It's best to look through the guidelines and try to only answer ones that meet them. Make sure to look through the dos and the don'ts. The more you know the less likely you are to lose out on points.

Yes it has happened to me. Also it could be points from way earlier in the month that you responded to or even previous months. They just happen to be found now. Did your earnings go down at all?

Hi, thanks for your response. I looked at my frineds discussion that I response to its still there and all my post is still there too nothing is deleted. I think from now on I am going to do a few on the fisrt of the month if mylot does the cleaning and such. I just don't like to feel this way (sad) Mylot earnings are fine just lost 30 points for nothing thats what I have done all day long for nothing. Has this happened to you?

I am so confused with what happens here on My Lot. What gets a point up, a point down, how the stars work. I have to check each day to see what the heck is happeneing that is why I perfer Gather.com

this is the first time this has happened to me but I can't figure out what went wrong all I did was doing my friends discusion and I checked to see if they are still there and its there and nothing seems to be deleted it's just the points. It was strange I was doing ok then wham lost 30 points all of sudden I just felt like crying and all that work for nothing. Thanks

I have been on for a month now and it has happened to me twice and well they do charge a tax. I think at the begiining of the month they figure this! I do not know how many my points are right now I need to check to see what I am up too I have not heard of gather.com how does it work?

I am sorry honey. It really gets me mad, as I stayed off a few days, and today, the numbers are going backwards. Don't bother writing to MyLot, they won't respond.

My friend,is one to lose 5 posts and another 30...here is a big mistake.I suggest you to contact mylot administration and don't give up!You are aprilgrl...that mean born in april and aries...well,act like a strong one and keep your chin up!I know it is annoying and you are frustrate after so much work(because it was a lot work),but i think will be fix if you contact mylot...
It happened to me with 2 posts i guess,but definitely in your case something is wrong...

I know how you feel. I have almost the same problem as you. Mine is a bit different, though. Yesterday, I was with U$ 5.88, and I posted like crazy. So, I though I'd be able to reach something like 7 dollars. Today, when I logged in, my earnings were U$ 5.01! After all the posting, my earnings went down!
I though with myself what I did wrong? But I found no answer. I won't stop, since I really want that money. But it made me bored.
Anyway, I'm rushing to the 500 posts. By June I want to receive my payment!

Wow 30 points is an awful lot of points to lose, I'm sorry to hear you have wasted your time, Mylot occasionally does big purges where it deletes a whole lot of discussions which break t&c's therefore if you have responded then you lose your points to those particular discussions in question. It happens to all of us my friend and you can never be sure what discussions are pulled. Here's a hug to cheer you up xx

Aprilgrl do not be so sad and bothered by this, there are alote of times that mylot upgrades the website, and there are things that are effected by this. I know that they started with the video clip, and we all had an alert this morning, so maybe that is what effected your number of posts. I do suggest that you will send them a letter telling them what happened, and i am sure they will take care of it, or tell you what is the reason for that happening.

We put so much of ourselves into whatever we post here, that to see points go down is hurtful. I try really hard to stay withn guidelines, but even so I have lost points. And I felt hurt when it happened. So I really understand. Write to them and see what the problem is. Good luck.

I can't believe that you lost that many points. I have never lost that many and I would be sad if I did as that is a lot of work on here to just lose it. I would send a letter to the mylot administrators and see what the problem was as I don't see how you lost points if the discussions are still there. Keep your chin up, it will get better!!

Go to a post by visitorinvasion, in it you will read about one person who lost over 700 posts. I haven't had any posts taken from me but I did see my earnings go down. It's suppose to be end of the month adjustments, we will see. In the meantime try not to worry.

actually i don't really know what's happening here in mylot.. i do heard some complains on system glitches.. but so far.. i only got my earning reduced.. but later on.. i earn back everything.. very fast.. so i think it's just some sort of miscalculation here? erm.. don't worry.. maybe you'll get back your post count soon.. anyway. .does it matter? i think what really matters is your earning.. if you don't earn.. then you have to inform the staff.. i think it's not fair for you..as you've been working hard to atleast make 30 post.. i just make 40 post. .and i earn $1.2.. erm.. not bad for a beginner =)

This has not happened to me yet. But I post only a few responses everyday. I guess this happens because mylot cleans up some discussions occasionally. It may not be related to your activity that day, but the overall number of discussions deleted to which you had responded. They may have their own reasons for doing so. Regards.

my points did that once too, but when i made like 2 posts, it went up like 10 points, I don't know it's very strange, don't give it up, this is one of the most honest sites that actually pay

I don't see why you don't write to mylot about this. Losing 30 posts is not a good thing. yesterday some people said their earnings went up a lot but then went down half. It might be cleaning up time before they calculate earnings, but then surely you want to know why you lost 30 posts.

there there *pat on back* I co miserate with you! my points also reduced over night...not as drastically as yours, but still. sigh. I also can not figure it out. although maybe one of the points was due to a comment someone had made bashing the USA and my reply to her/him. I was not nasty by any means, but I was remarking on some inconsistencies of the USA bashers. perhaps her/his post was against the guidelines and was removed therefore removing mine. well that would be one point explained. sigh. Do not despair, but I agree for me 30 points is a full day spent at mylot.

Hi aprilgrl. I am so sorry to hear that this has happened to you. I have never had anything like that happen to me so I don't know what could have happened. My advice would be to contact mylot via email and ask them! Good luck, and I hope the problem gets resolved hun!
