What Subject Did You Do Your Term Paper on in High School?

I guess this sounds strange, but the idea just hit me. When I was a senior in high school I had a hard time trying to think of a subject to do my term paper on. But I finally came up with the idea of marriage customs in other countries. I can't remember how many countries I used but I do remember that it turned out to really be an interesting subject. If I'm not mistaken I made an A on it. How about you out there on MyLot? What types of subjects did you use for term papers in high school or college either one?

I remember, I had just had my first son and when he was born, he had a bad case of jaundice. I decided to do my term paper on jaundice, the causes and effects. It turned out to make me a good grade too.

That is a good subject. I wish your son hadn't had that problem but I'm glad you were able to get a good grade on your paper. Thanks for your response. I didn't know if this would go over well or not, Ha! Ha!

Way to use something bad for something good. I would have been interested in reading that paper if I were your professor.

I don't remember much about my high school term papers. Probably because I skipped my junior and senior years and graduated when I was 16. I did a research paper about Bipolar Disorder my third semester in college, and in my Intercultural Communications class I did a 15 page paper over Germany and Germany's culture, most dominant religion, and such. I loved that class. I learned so much.

Thank you for the kind words. : ) It was a blessing to graduate early, because a couple years later I got sick and that slowed down my college progression. Thankfully, I had a few years of college "under my belt."

Wow!! That sounds extremely interesting. I'm sure you are very smart being able to graduate when you were 16, that is a wonderful accomplishment!! I wish I could have done that. I know your parents are extremely proud of you, I know I would be if you were my daughter.

For my High School term paper, I had to pick a British author and one of his/her books as the subject. I did The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkein. (this was quite some time before the movies were even announced, much less released.) I got the highest grade in the class, and the teacher kept the paper to use as an example for future classes. When a younger friend had him three years later, he was still using it! Had to have been the best paper I had ever written at the time. Of course, the ability to write on a subject I already enjoyed was a big help!

Wow that is great! When your teacher keeps something to show other students that is really something to be proud of! And the fact that you got the highest grade in the class is something to be proud of too!!
