Chris Richardson really gets on my nerves.

Of all the contestants remaining on American Idol I sincerely hope Chris Richardson will be going home tommorow night. I have two justifacations for this opinion.
The first is that I hate the nasal tone of his voice. It irritates me more every week. He is the least talented of the remaining contestants. He sounds like a less gifted version of the not very vocally talented Justin Timberlake.
The second reason I want Richarson off is that I find him the least humble and most conceited of all those who are left on the show. It came to my attention the other week when Simon criticised him for being too nasal. He began whining that nasaly was a style of singing. Is it really? It's the first I had heard of it. My point is that the other contestants accept the criticism the judges give far more graciously.
Finally I hate the smarmy expression on Chris Richarson's face. I know this is hardly a good reason to want him voted off. However, I would like to slap him. I can't help it.

I am hoping that he is one of the two people leaving tomorrow night. He does seem very cocky and stuck up and do not like his voice all that much. I am thinking that maybe he and Lakisha will be going home tomorrow. We have to remember they are including last weeks votes as well as this weeks votes. Jordin had the worst performance of the night but feel she deserves to continue. I thought Blake's version of Bon Jovi's song was very cheesy and did not like it or his hair color.

i agree with you kgwat70 that the version of blake is very cheesy. Hello its rock night and what he did is not a rock song. bad name is one of bonjovi's signature song and performing it like a remix stuff is not rock. my hubby plays in a band he feels that blake did is an insult to bonjovi.

I reackon it will be Chris and Phil going home. I like Phil's personality but I am judging on the ability as a singer before anything else. I though Lakisha was great tonight. She has had a bad few weeks, but her song tonight moved me. I am hoping she'll stay.

He bugs me too. Usually I can't stand him. Tonight, with Jon Bon Jovi, I didn't think he stunk too badly, but I agree with you about his smarmy expression and Timberlake-wannabe vibe. I don't know if it will be him and Phil or him and Lakisha, but I firmly believe (hope!!!!) that he is a definite buh-bye on 5/2!

Actually he didn't stink too badly tonight, but only because he had to change his style to sound more gravelly in order to fit the rock genre. I guarantee if he's still there next week we'll hear a return to that nasal whiny screaching sound.

I will admit I am hoping he is one of them Voted off tonight as well. He is not one of my favorites, and I think he has just been Lucky to get this far. There is NO way I can see him as a Final 4. As for accepting Chriticism from the Judges, I have not noticed this as much from him, but I still am hoping this week he is gone.

You know when american idol's top 12 was picked chris was one of my favorites.I thought he could sing.I also thought he was good looking.But the more I watch him(especially in the last little bit)I don't like him.He is really struck on himself.He is really cocky at times to.I don't like that at all.

He is not on my favorite person list. When I listen to him sing I don't think he sings well at all. I am really surprised he lasted this long. Ryan needs to stop calling him Justin Timberlake too, it has gotten to Chris' big head. He made a fool of himself when he made that comment that nasaly is a form of singing.

I thought his voice was bad before the nasaly comment. However, it was that comment that really put me off him as a person.

Hey, I think Chris is pretty cool! If I could decide who I wanted to see go, I guess I would vote. But I can't, so I'll just let the rest of America decide.

I don't understand the interest in Chris either, but then I don't think much of Justin Timberlake and was shocked when he had the number 1 CD in the country. I would be happy to see him voted off. Phil just doesn't do it for me. I think he's a nice guy and he can sing ok, but I just don't go for his style. I think it will be Phil and Lakisha, but who knows?

Justin Timberlake is a singer who generally appeals only to the very young, and by that I mean younger than 25. His songs are catchy but his producer has more talent than he does as a singer. The only cool thing about Justin Timberlake is his dance moves, and they aren't unique, he copied them from Michael Jackson.

I completely agfree with you. I never liked his voice and it has seemed to have gotten more nasaly as the show has gone on. I don't get what the big deal is with him. I really don't like his attitude. It was maybe a little harder to see when Sanjaya was there hoggin up the idiot spotlight, but since he has left Chris has just gotten more on my nerves.
I do hope that Chris is one of the ones going home. I personally do like Phil. I just really love the tone of his voice. I think he has improved as the show has gone on and I did enjoy his Bon Jovi cover.
Truly I would love to see Melinda, Blake and Jordin in the final 3 so as long as tow of the other 3 go home tomorrow then I won't be upset. I am worried about Jordin because she was not very good tonight at all.
Overall I thought this show was really great, but I could definately do without having to look at or listen to Chris again.

I have always found him cocky and would have voted him of a long time ago. His voice is horrible and all over the place. He can't take the advice from the judges and thinks he is some great singer, which he is not.

I can't honestly decide if I like him or not. He is from our area (Virginia) so they have billboards up all over to support him. I don't think he'll win, even if he doesn't go home tonight. The longer he is on the show the cockier he gets, though.
I kinda like Phil, but he doesn't have the best voice, either. Just seems like a nice guy with a decent voice. I am hoping that Melinda wins. I am constantly amazed at how she can sing and be so saucy and powerful one minute and then when she stops singing she looks like she's a puppy about to be whipped with a newspaper! She is so good but she seriously has no self esteem!

nasal singing is not a style it is a habit. a hard habit to break. he isnt yet the winner but he acts like one. ryan started calling him justin and it gets to his head already. i wish his the next. before i think phil will be next after sanjaya but phil is coming out strong. chris is acting like he can win... not like jordin and melinda two down to earth talented people.

I don't hate Chris Richardson, but I do believe he should be at least one of the two that should be voted off this week along with Phil. In my opinion, these two are the weakest performers and if they go, the remaining four will be left, making the competition much more competitive. Since two people have to leave tonight it will be interesting to see how America voted.

I actually like Chris, but yeah, if he reaches the top 4, I would be pissed. As of now, he's the least talented in the top 6. But he might redeem himself at rock night.

Sanjaya is gone already. I didn't think his voice was strong or anything , but I never thought he was off key or nasally. I also thought he was a sweet kid.

I never liked Chris. His voice is thin and reedy and weak and nasally. And no, that's not a singing style. He needs to go.
Lakisha knocked our socks off tonight. I'd hate to see her go. But then, any of the five left could win the whole thing. Phil has been astonishing the last couple of weeks. Melinda can do no wrong. Jordin stunk tonight but her past performances will keep her in it. Blake looks great with his new hair. And he did an amazingly daring cover of an old song.
So Chris should go home, but I don't know who else.
