Do you believe women should go to war?

I am an 18 year vet, starting with Viet Nam and retiring after 3 months in the Arabian Gulf War (I was in Desert Shield, not Desert Storm). I began as an Army medic and then became an RN after returning from VN.
It was ugly; you get shot at or worse (artillery, landmines). I had to work on the remains or ones that were called lucky. If that doesn't change your point of view about war, what can? Still, many women can take it - many can't.
Opinions follow through with the nurturing one had (or didnt have) growing up. My family didnt like it one bit, but I saw it as a chance to thank my country for all the blessings and chances it gave my immigrant family.
What are your opinions?

i suppose im a bit of a traditionalist, i believe there are certain things that are made for men. War being one of them, i know alot of people disagree, but i do believe that.
Also want to point out there should never be war in the first place to decide whethere woman should go.

Traditionally, women are not supposed to be sent to war since they should attend to domestic needs of the family and nation. But I guess when the womens liberation movement has begun everything was changed almost all of what men used to have exclusively been doing now is available with women even going to war is now available. I guess if the nature of her duty in the war is not combative I could tolerate it but if the service includes women getting into battle full gear I think that's too much for a woman to handle. I think they should stay behind and could serve better to handle the things like as meds, or nursing becasue they are much more fitted in such jobs. But if a they would insist on joining the ranks why not its their choice right?
