Does anyone know if we were to put up an auction on eBay and if the item doesn't get sold - will we get charged for it?

Yes you will have to pay. However you may relist it for free. If it sells you do not have to pay twice. If it does not sell the 2nd time you will have to pay again.

I do sell on ebay quite a bit. I make my own crafts and sell them very well. If my item doesn't sell, I am only out of the money it took to sell it, .50 to $1. You do not get charged for an unsold item. Good luck with ebay, it is a good money making opportunity.

Well, ebay charges you two ways, the listing fee, for listing an item, and the final value fee when your item gets sold, they charge you a certain percentage of the selling price. If your item doesn't get sold, they only charge you the Listing fee but not the Final Value fee.
