Blue Oyster Cult - Astronomy

What do you think about the Blue Oyster Cult song, Astronomy? It's yet another song that I have discovered because a metal band covered it (in this case it was Metallica on their Garage Inc album). This is another one of those rare occasions where I like a cover better than an original, although the original is still awesome. Do you also prefer the Metallica version, or do you like BOC's version? Also, if you like the BOC version (as I'm sure many will, since it is the original, after all), which version of theirs do you like? Do you like the original, or the one that was released later on the Imaginos album? If I had to pick one, I'd definitely go with the original out of those two. The later version just doesn't have the same appeal and the melody isn't as catchy or cool in my opinion.
